2:23 you've restored WAY more pieces than me.. I'm still learning.. so, serious question: Why clean the table BEFORE you take it apart? Wouldn't it be a lot easier to clean and probably faster after everything is apart? Let me know if there's a reason why it's better to do it while it's still together. Thanks! (any info appreciated!)

What would you do if you burned through the middle part of the back of the chair?

I love the genius idea with the legs. I thought for a second you might have just done black "boots" on them but I think this way looks good also. Great work. I've been itching to refinish some tables again and you're inspiring me to do it.

Vinegar is a poor rust remover. It regenerates too soon because of the acitiy. Much better option is a proprietary rust remover like Evaporust. Which is reusable, bio-degradable, doesn't promote regrowth and completely removes all rust within an hour or two. Consideringthe time savings, it's the cheapest option with the best result.

It's likely the 'tism speaking right now, but why, for the love of God, wouldn't you put in a radio in the radio cabinet?! A 1930s style cabinet with a ham radio or a short wave radio would have been amaze balls. I generally like your content, but this made me unreasonably angry. Seriously, a guitar amp?

Hi Steve, So this was a very interesting video!! I actually watched twice to be sure I followed the process. So here are my questions to unpack. The bottom of the top you used for the top seemed to be stained, with voids where the original legs were. Though you said it didn’t have finish. Did I miss a step? Did you scrape and sand that all out? Were there divots where you glued that piece you removed from the old leg? OK, now, I think I saw some vertical grain on the side skirt. Am I confused? And third, do you have a plan for the original legs? They seem like pretty hearty chunks of pricey wood. My last question - is that a college dorm building across the street? It is very interesting looking? Thanks again for an awesome transformation. You knocked this one out of t he park. Guess I owe you a coffee for all this instruction. Will work on that. Thanks again😂

This is so pretty! I have often wondered why there isn’t more refinishes that put veneer over laminate for some pieces, seems it would make it much more desirable as a piece of furniture. Growing up in the 70’s laminate was hard to get a way from but I never cared for it. Thank you for showing you can put veneer over laminate and that it can look fabulous!

However, I have just recently discovered you. And in just a few videos, you have accidentally damaged a part of your piece by somehow dropping it on 4 different occasions. I was watching Flea Market Flip. One couple took an 18in one similar to your other. It was in great condition and they painted it sliver. I thought the host, Lara Spencer, was going to cry. I know I felt like it. I repurpose old furniture and have to say, this is a great job.

Nice table - you could have used a Vandyke stain to darken the edges and legs. Not taking anything away- great job.
