It's capitalism. Some call it greed. As long as people have this belief or right that they can/should make a buck off of everything that "could" be free then all things will have a price. Then the flip side of that is getting the gov't involved to subsidize this problem and pay land owners who provide truck parking or paying truckers parking fee's. Some won't like that idea either. Truckers need to go on strike until the power at be come up with a solution that all agree on so that truckers are not parking illegally and getting fined b/c they have to tuck somewhere to get off the road.

I genuinely feel bad for all the naive ppl who paid this clown for a “ course” . I mean how could you even consider wasting your hard earned $$ to someone who talks and acts like this snitch ass clown🤦🏻‍♂️

If I have to pay $20 a night for parking I'm looking at $400-$640 a month in extra expenses, assuming I can get free parking maybe 10 nights a month. That's a damn car payment. Yet a broker will argue with me over $50 extra on a load right now? A load which by the way is barely paying enough to cover expenses, let alone enough margin to put away a war chest to deal with the crazy unforeseen expenses that pop up with heavy trucks and trailers. This isn't going to greatly increase available parking, just turn existing parking into paid parking. The longer I go without making decent money in this game, the more Ludacris the prices are going to be to brokers/customers when this market flips. Enjoy the $1.60 a mile idiots while they last, they won't be long. Then its hello to $4-6 a mile to make up for the last 24 months...

A trucker having to foot any bill while on any companies time frame of delivery is BS, from tolls, fuel, state fees, food and now sleeping fees all should be footed by the companies sending and receiving. It’s a simple as a preset Perdiem to cover cost in the contracts.

Truck Driver Appreciation Week? Since when? Since WHERE? Because I was out there for twenty years and NEVER felt anything remotely LIKE appreciation. Even during the first COVID craze when we were supposed to be America's biggest heroes I never even got a thank you. And now you millennials pop up and start some stupid podcast? All this is, is a bunch of overblown crap. I did that job until I got injured, and you know how I'm thanked? I have to fight worker's comp for the barest of compensation. YOU can't even drive stick shift or work a paper logbook. You know how the federal government thanked us the last few years I was out there? They held one of their safety blitzes on the same week we were supposed to appreciated. Now, I wouldn't piss on the trucking industry if it was on fire. Why don't you get someone on your little show who will give you the REAL story about what happens out here? Not enough ratings?

If broker doesn’t pay, the carrier can go after the shipper and they will have to pay, even if they already paid the broker. It could take a year in court but shipper (ikea) will lose I forget the statute but I’ve been through this.
