They only care about film sims. That's what 99.99999% of fuji spend R&D money on. Autofocus, image quality, speed and UI are useless. Only thing that matters are film sims. MORONS

@@chicaneti I found the solution. It was in the Camera. The range limiter has been set to 5m. As soon as I switched it back it was fine again.

@@oliverh.7453 There are issues with Fujifilm AF, but there are also things like this that are making it seem worse than it is. I hadn't used Multi-AF mode in forever and tried it last night. It was so bad with an f1.4 lens. Generally fine at 2.8 though. There are always more settings to find that are holding us back from getting what we are hoping for.

What I said was, people should focus on their own experiences and judge for themselves, I’ve seen your videos, I’ve seen others, I’ve seen people deliberately set up the test to fail (I never mentioned names out of respect just what I see) there’s multiple factors that can cause issues, I bashed Fuji for releasing bad firmware which it was, could there be a problem with your camera since mine is not as badly as affected as yours? What’s important is that people make their own decisions, someone can watch a video and be influenced very easily by what they see and make it their own reality when it’s not the case at all, why is my Xh2s not as bad as yours? I just gave my opinion and thoughts, I never mentioned anyone :)

@@AlpsLifee Why your xh2s dont show the bad af like in my tests ? because maybe you do the tests at f 3.6 and maybe you dont do dynamic shots , moving towards or away from your subject.

I typically shoot between F1.8-F2.8, not sure why ur results vary so extremely

If you got the self confidence to say that you had a major impact on Fujifilm fixing the issues, it’s as fair to say that you and your channel are totally irrelevant for Fujifilm.

@@AufKohleGeboren Yes I am arrogant and yes I had impact , on my first video about this everyone was telling me I dont know how to use my camera, and now look 2 months later everyone has complained about it , you can find discussions on any fuji forum and They fixed the issue.

I use angelbird cf express and never had an issue until the 6.0 update and the freezing was using Fuji lenses also

@@AlpsLifee the angelbird cards you use, are hard to comment on, because they have several series, slow and fast, on top of which their first revisions of some cards were bug-prone… you need to be using their fast series and second revisions for reliable performance

@@Mortenthorpe-DKyeah I’m sure there’s lots of variables but I’ve used the Xh2s heavily and only had this issues once the 6.0 update came out, so I’m just going by pattern, hopefully on my next job the camera works smoothly

Pretty much 😂 it’s just too good for video, aside from a lack of Nds it’s pretty much the perfect size and perfect functionality, but the Fuji is better as a hybrid, which for some shoots clients want photo and video, so I can use both but I may end up getting a Sony hybrid

I liked that camera but it’s too old now and not comparable to the Sony for fast workflows, especially if you need AF

@@AlpsLifee it wipes the floor with the FX3 if you have an anamorphic lens, as it has specific IBIS implementations that work with those lenses, without which you will have jello city even on the FX3. It also has built in desqueeze. It's not old at all and almost nobody serious about digital cinema uses autofocus. AF is for videographers and commercial events people, not cinema work. that's about the only thing it lacks. I have both cameras, just telling you the reality of it.

@gothamindembaum your telling me what works for you, I’m telling you what works for me, I make films and shoot video to make money, for me it’s not comparable and let’s not forget the small detail that one of these cameras was used with anamorphic lenses on a high budget feature film.. I’m not saying the S1H is bad, I’m saying it’s not better.

@@AlpsLifee haha bro that film is used as the example to the point of absurdity. they could have just as easily used the S1H and had the same result. there was no advantage over the S1H provided they lit the F out of their scenes, it was just a tool. Silliness.. The S1H is not old. Do you think they used the FX3 on that film with AF lenses? LoL

Thanks for the advice, I definitely will still use it of course, it’s such a fun camera to use, it was just in comparison to the fx3 those were my initial impressions, I also hate fixing stuff post production 😂

I don’t know what their feature set strategy is, Xh2s was pushed as a video centric camera yet the gfx camera gets all the video features we want..

I’ve had that sometimes, not as severe though, he might have a defective unit if it’s that bad.

to my understanding, that feature only works on an auto setting if im correct? which would indicate its more for amateur users (not saying that this is true) but thats to my understanding, hence why its not on the flagship as its aimed at more seasoned pros, plus im sure you can assign a shortcut to choose which subject you want to detect, however I get your point that if its in the lower end cameras it should at least be in the higher end ones especially as its more than capable of doing so.

Appreciate it, I see your a fan of arthouse films, I’ll check out Clive barker, lenses I think we used the 18-55, 35mm F1.4 and the viltrox 56mm, lighting we used some tubes overhead and gelled godox sl60w lights can’t remember exactly but nothing extravagant

@@AlpsLifee cheers - I’m not particularly keen on arthouse cinema, I prefer more mainstream stuff like ALIENS, E.T. THE EXTRA TERRESTRIAL, ROCKY, and AS GOOD AS IT GETS etc however I can sometimes appreciate horror stuff that’s got a ‘feel’ to it - CLIVE BARKER did some great stuff like HELLRAISER, NIGHTBREED, and ‘THE CANDYMAN’ which had some great atmosphere to it. And I love Dario’s work. You should definitely check out Clive Barker’s work yes.

a bit of both maybe.. its definitely seeing faces much faster, but doesn't track too well once someone turns their head.

I’ve never personally used the file transfer system, but yeah I can imagine Ethernet over WiFi being faster, but still it’s nice to have both options, never owned a grip myself as I prefer smaller rigs and I generally just use powerbanks to shoot all day

@@AlpsLifee wow that’s amazing - it’s very inspiring to see that you made it with 2 lenses - I also watched your ETERNA movie, that one was beautiful, it reminded me of some classics horror movies I watched as a kid from Dario Argento, and Clive Barker. I love the cinematography in that one too, more so than this one - however the ending was the only thing that didn’t agree with me, as I knew what was going to happen. Love the vampire styled performance from the actress who was playing the killer/photographer, and the performance of the model/victim, she portrayed the innocence really well. Love the lighting and the cinematography in that one. That one is brilliant.

What many clips are you referring to that were out of focus? Where did these clips come from? Are you referring to video clips provided by Fujifilm? Is there a place I can download these clips to view for myself?

Your video was the only notification that there was an update for the X-H2s! I have a X-H2, as well, so I suspect an update will be coming out shortly for that body. My X-H bodies have only used 1st party lenses and the oldest ones at my disposal are the 16-55 and 50-140 …

@@GrayGhostDog1 not sure what updates will come for the xh2 since it’s primarily photography focused but hopefully it’s good. My only lenses that I have are the kit Len’s which I use 90% of the time (gonna upgrade to the tamron 17-70) Fuji 35mm F1.4 and the viltrox 56mm F1.4.

@@AlpsLifee Oh wow I'm glad I got one of the brands right haha - I normally use a LUMIX S1, S5iiX, and a SIGMA fp - Im new to FUJIFILM XH2s last week when I purchased one - I love this camera - It's amazing (I am willing them to put the shutter-angle option into the XH2s - it would be awesome.) . If I was going to hazzard a guess, you said I have one of the brands right - Did you film this with a SONY FX30? Oh yes the AUTOFOCUS setup guide would be amazing!

@SuchetB I love the Xh2s it just lacks pro video features, but it’s so capable, I shot my last short film with it which you can see on my channel called ‘Prey’ and you’ll see what camera I have very soon 😂
