With plenty of new and old fans coming back into the Fallout series, there has been a re-ignited spark with the debate between the games. Such as the passionate voices of those sharing opinions of those getting heavily invested in Fallout 4 and 76 rather than Fallout 3 and New Vegas, first. I don't see what's so terribly wrong with getting swept away with these games, especially Fallout 4 as it sticks pretty closely to the formula from Fallout 3 & New Vegas.

Problem is the lack of culture. Prime classic COD zombies, was created during a certain era, surrounded by a certain culture of dev teams. The new modern woke crews, simply suck and lack innovation from a cultural standpoint. That’s just the truth. And it isn’t just COD. It’s almost all livestream game titles.

As a fan of the franchise since CoD4, I can truly say that that all changed after Black Ops 2. But for me in particular, it was when Ghost and AW was released. Despitte its flaws, I found myself still loving a lot of things about the two game (Ghost's Alien mode, AW Campaign, Ghosts perks and customization, AW tiered weapons) But it was also around that time when I started to feel a separation point between me, the community, and the devs. After all, these were their only releases, no sequel followed up as fans panned them, though it looks like they are changing their tunes of lately. Nevertheless, my first true fallout with the franchise was with Black Ops 3. Hell, the only thing I remember about Black Ops 3 was its lame campaign and how gambling was introduced to the game. Fun fact, I was so close to falling into that trap if it weren't for my bank halting my transaction because there were store issues during checkout. From there, I skipped Infinite Warfare thinking it was just more of the game. And while I was mostly right, I did enjoy seeing its take on the campaign. My second fallout was when WW2 was released. And Imma be honest, that was an amazing time of my life. Loved the new ideas they were going with in this game, from the fresh take on the War mode to the reintroduction its horror on Zombies to even the unique Division class setups. However, I stopped midway through after the changes the class system. Like I can understand, but it just completely removed the idea of uniqueness. As a quote from another video "More options, less identity". Couple with issues that was plaguing the game after launch, I left despite remembering it faunally. After that, I skipped Black Ops and its newest iteration, Black Ops 4. From there, I thought I was just done with CoD altogether. That is until MW2019 came out. As someone who was waning away for the series overtime, I immediately got hooked back in with MW2019, and it was just amazing. The campaign= Brutal honest and cinematic. Spec Ops = fun with friends. Multiplayer = Just lovely, alongside its REALISTIC depiction of customization. And with the introduction of Ground War, it was game over for me and it made me fall in love with the franchises all over again! That is until Cold War came out, which then became the final straw. While I knew that this was something that had to then be followed up with another banger if I was to stay, I figured that Treyarch, despite its setbacks, could turn it around like MW2019. So I played the beta after some hype... and I hated it. I don't know what to tell you, but to me, it felt wrong. It was like all that pent up anger with the series just finally came out after Cold War. And of course, I skipped out on Cold War, and from there, I never bought another CoD game since then. No other installment ever caught my attention long enough where I would be interested in trying out their product. So yeah, Black Ops 2, WW2, and MW2019 were the last games I enjoyed (sprinkled in with some AW and Ghost). Since then, I haven't playing CoD, and honestly, I'm not looking back. While I would still love to join back and play their games again, I don't think I can. And after the recent news with Microsoft and the continuation of the Black Ops series with 6 on its way, I don't think I'll be coming back for some time.

I played the original Modern Warfare & WaW when I was 10 years old, and then I got and played the original COD and COD2. I didn't play any of the games beyond WaW. It feels funny to hear people talk about MW3 and BO2 with nostalgia and as the pinnacle of FPS gaming. I remember both these games (and actually MW2 too) not being very well received by older gamers at the time. I think a major part of the difference is the focus on the singleplayer part. The first two games have lengthy and quite challenging campaigns with a variety of maps and scenarios. Later entries in the series have shorter, more Hollywood style stories.

I think Ghosts is where CoD really started to go off the rails. Don't get me wrong, I really liked Ghosts, it had a lot of cool stuff and in some ways was a little ahead of its time. The dynamic multiplayer maps were cool as fuck and the campaign was at least kind of all right, but while BO2 did have its fair share of microtransactions, they were all just weapon skins, and Ghosts is where you first had playable campaign characters and could just be running around in multiplayer as Zakhaev, or an astronaut. But I'll admit, the Snoop Dogg voiceovers were peak. Advanced Warfare is where the whole future thing started to get out of hand. You also had the start of weapon variants and all that stuff. Then BO3... goddamn, that campaign was a mess. They really tried to pull some Sixth Sense-esque crap with the "you were dead the whole time!!!" twist. Infinite Warfare was the opposite, where the multiplayer was so lackluster but I thought the campaign was really, really good. The voice messages from the main characters during the credits was a great touch. Ethan was such a great character.

Fo4 will always be my favorite, I don't care about "the story", "the lore", or "the accuracy". I goof around and have a blast blowing peoples faces away or creating elaborate death guanntlets for my settlers to walk through every night to go to bed. Or exploding litterally anything or causing the most amount of damage I possibly can in the shortest amount of time, which usually translates to "accuracy by volume of fire / heavy weapons". I love heavy weapons in Fo76. They're just the best, along with the construction PA with ammo/weapon weight ruducing perks and 150 pounds of stimpacks.

although better than 76 by a long shot, fallout 4 takes so much away from what made fallout fallout. i could list them but there's so much that just gets trivialized or turned into a basic mess. Super Mutants, BoS, Enclave, even raider communities. Fallout 4 is ironically like the spaghetti western of fallout, simplified, cool looking, action packed, and badass feeling. if you wanna blast muties and help settlements, its a game for you, and imo thats completely fine. Ive just had the amazing choices and nuanced storytelling of the other titles grow on me so so much more than any cool fight on fallout 4 can offer. just my 2 cents

I started with FO3, got extremely bored with it since it felt tedious to do anything in it and a story that left me more confused than anything else. Went back to do 1, 2, and then got New Vegas and had an immensely more fun time. There was a specific theme of trying to survive and move on in the ruined world. FO4 felt more like a kooky theme park of randomness and people making questionable choices all throughout. It did a terrible job showing people trying to move on and rebuild as everybody seemed to purposely stay stuck and stagnant in the world.
