Random stuff I like. Probably mostly videogame/animation/music related. Probably things I find worth keeping historically.
Golden Axe: Beast Rider (PS3/360) - E3 2006 Vision Video
At E3 2006, Sega showed a sizzle reel containing various games on the large projected screen. They ran their own music over everything, and it seems no one paid attention, but as a long-time Sega fan, I took note of this first look at Golden Axe: Beast Rider. I assumed the footage would be released soon after, or that someone would record it, but no one did. In fact, no one seemed to remember anything of the sort. I emailed the development company, but they of course didn't respond. I occasionally searched for years, but came up with nothing.
I was quite surprised when I decided to search for it today, and found that someone did a small write-up about this video. Though Secret Level was developing the game, before really starting development, they asked Blur Studio to render a short scene that would give a feel for the target gameplay. The video was completed in December 2005. It got both the development studio and Sega excited for the game, which is why Sega decided to show it off at E3 2006.

This is clearly the greatest Batman fight scene

Black Star and The Golden Bat was made in Korea in 1979. The best quality video we have is from an ancient VHS of the Spanish dub, released in Spain. I adore this scene, and honestly love several aspects of the fight.
Murphy's Irish Stout: Last Orders (1997) AI Scaled to 1080P
zhlédnutí 230Před 4 lety
This was a really well animated and cool cyberpunk commercial for beer from 1997. It was only available in SD. I've been messing with AI scaling recently, and thought the results were pretty good on this one. Looks a lot better before CZcams compression, but still looks better than SD here, especially from 0:18 on.

Here's the HD intro to Mirai Keisatsu Urashiman/Future Policeman Urashiman/未来警察ウラシマン. I always thought this intro was a lot of fun, especially for the time period it came out in (1983).
Dirty Pair: Project Eden Opening (1986) Clean NCOP HD

Finally, a clean HD version of this beautiful opening. I uploaded a carefully scaled DVD rip years ago, but now we have the best one we're probably going to get. The introduction to Dirty Pair: Project Eden is beautiful in so many ways. It was done by Koji Morimoto for Sunrise. He later went on to co-found Studio 4°C. Morimoto was clearly inspired by James Bond openings, but pulled it off bette...

クマのプー太郎 (Kuma no Putaro) Episode
zhlédnutí 69KPřed 5 lety
This series is unfortunately quite rare, as it was never rebroadcasted, nor released on VHS or DVD. Found this random episode on an old second gen VHS tape from TV. It ran from 1995-96, and was one of my favorite anime shows when I was a teenage weeb. I very much enjoyed the Canadian wrestlers on this episode for their heavy Canadian accented Japanese. It had a lot of fun characters like the mo...

0:06 Snake in Eagle's Shadow opening "kata", LOL :D
I love the comments here focusing on why I searched out for this commercial, lol.
I often wonder how much Asian martial arts fiction influenced Jim. His heroes feel a bit different from those of both DC and Marvel esp. in the way that teams matter as much or more than individuals etc.
Akira Joel Perez Kung fu virtua fighter 6
They're afraid to tell laughing Batman that he's just yellow.
The European openings were aired with all text removed, apparently. Interesting to watch.

I'm glad it never game out!
Ulala's Normal Outfit
They nailed everything perfectly...except Aoi's hair.its a mess.if they had initially came out with realistic looking hair from the start I'd say even by today's bare minimum standards this game would still hold up well.
“I’ll just breeeeeze through the Stripe Zone!”

Tnx god this was never released...
17:40 There are moments in the film where wireframe cgi is overlayed on console panels that have been hand drawn. It adds so much more movement to each scene.
Check out the album "Urashiman: Synthesizer Fantasy" with Takashi Kokubo (famous composer of ambient music and an amazing keyboardist) 😊 The whole thing is truly a digital trip! There are many other soundtracks that have vinyl pressings with sick album art. I have the one for this one and it sounds excellent! Peace!
I wanna go back in time and show the people from these commercials a new gen game lol on the switch and see their reaction
Time Gal wasn't only inspired by _Dirty Pair,_ she also was inspired by Lum from _Urusei Yatsura._
I never noticed that, but I think you're right.
@@randoarchive I read in on Hardcore Gaming 101's review of the game, which also said she may have also been somewhat inspired by Milia from Macross (and for the Dirty Pair inspiration, they believe it was Yuri, obviously).
the akira reference lmao

They didn't mention all the zones. And that guy must've had some skill to breeze through the Striped Zone, which was the hardest zone.
Nice to see these guys cooperating on the game.

Interesting Stuff Want more! Much more like this!
Born in the 90's here and i was three years old in 1996 but I still remember two things: Nintendo and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I loved the 80's animated series, still do. In my mind, my grandmother is still alive, me and my uncle are still on speaking terms and I'm still going to grandma's house for Tomb Raider and NES. RIP to my childhood. and to those we lost, may we see you again in paradise.
Fantastic work watching all of this, like deaths were seeing getting you killed makes you restart the whole scene can be frustrating picking the wrong decision but picking it correctly makes you pro player
Funny that the german opening is the best
It’s not a game, it’s a sport that was meant to be included in the original Wii Sports but was ultimately scrapped. It eventually made it into Wii Sports Resort.

Great thing about these old consoles is they still work 40 years later.
This one was the cutest episode I ever saw, and it's too bad that it was the final one. I would have loved to see more of this stuff, but oh well. Man, it's been nearly two decades since I saw this and I'm definitely downloading these guys to use for my offline video collection to save in the future.
Oh this one is the best one. XDDD Just seeing a guy running like that while all the other ones were focusing on their own, and you just see a guy running and tumbling while the ball is spinning above water...This one was definitely my favorite one out of all the episodes so far.
God this was funny back in the day, and it still gives me a laugh to this very day.
Oh dude, thanks for archiving these. I remember watching these back in 2005 and they interested me so much that it was basically like watching someone's life inside a monkey ball turned into an ad. Too bad Sega doesn't make ads like these anymore. The theme song is still catchy, even after 17/18 years since it's premiere.
This makes it even more like a movie
Friend of mine had voice add on for intellivision. Intellivision had some fun games as I recall, for the time.

I know it doesnt look like anything special now but back in 96 i remember seeing screenshots for this in gaming magazines & just being completely blown away & thinking no way could graphics get any better
