I do not own the rights to this music but do own the record. (1980) Paul Carrack - In Love With Me. Paul was originally in a band called Ace, which had the one hit, "How Long:". After leaving the band Ace in 1977, he then had a stint with Roxy Music on the albums Manifesto and Flesh and Blood before his departure. Paul began work on his first solo record, Nightbird. It was finally released in 1...

I do not own any rights to this video, the story, or the characters. This is an animated feature taken from the Music and Animation Collection of Paul McCartney. Tuesday is a children's book by David Wiesner. It is a beautifully done feature.
Amazing Screw-On Head
zhlédnutí 664KPřed 10 lety
I do not own any rights to this video, the story, or the characters. This is the pilot episode for what was to be a series on the Sci-fi Channel based on the comic book Amazing Screw-On Head, written and drawn by Mike Mignola. Unfortunately, it was not picked up. Screw-On Head (Paul Giamatti) - Literally a screw-on head, apparently made of metal; Abraham Lincoln's top agent in occult matters. H...

I do own the record, but not the rights to this music. This is from the second record Tommy Tutone. Often incorrectly labeled as a one hit wonder, the song Angel Say No from the first record did reach #38 on the Billboard top 40 in 1980.

I do own the record, but not the rights to this music. This is from the fantastic first, self-titled, record by Tommy Tutone. Often incorrectly labeled as a one hit wonder, the song Angel Say No from the first record did reach #38 on the Billboard top 40 in 1980. "Whaddya say June?"
We’ve missed out on the Adventures of the Amazing Screw-On Head, and we got Rick & Morty and Solar Opposites instead? To be honest I’m genuinely pissed at this point. That and also The Goon never got made into a movie either.
I don't recall when or where I first came upon his character, but I still enjoy it...
Mike Mignola's art was already gorgeous in his comic books, but seeing it in motion is absolutely incredible. They really animated it absolutely perfectly. This has got me thinking about how amazing an animated Hellboy series would be in the same style.
Feels like the kind of antics Colonel Lloyd Venture would get himself into
New threat unlocked: I am going to *smoke* you.
How could this not have been Green lit?
Now I'm even more curious as to what other characters' reactions would be to my character. Also, do not worry, I still am adding this pilot onto the list of Pilots for future examination and revival, please do not worry.
Wow this fucking sucks lmao
I wish Patience was here. Not that i don't like you, I do. It's just... she's not quite so old. But she's old, but not like you, not like that, you understand. ...Oh, look, it's Gun!
My god. That was amazing. I feel like I remember seeing an ad for this on a dvd when I was younger. This was amazing. It sucks that the it didn't get picked up for a whole show. I'd love to see this as a show
STOP FUCKING RECOMMENDING ME PLEASE
Can't imagine why this weird Hellboy rip-off pilot got cancelled! What a mystery!
It's based on a Mike Mignola comic. You can't rip yourself off
Wow, I can't believe Mike Mignola ripped off Mike Mignola, someone should tell Mike Mignola
Its H P Lovecraft meets Adam West Batman! Bless you Screw on Head!
This is glorious.
Huh, that wasnt too bad. I saw the smoking a person elsewhere and found this. Im guessing that was dark magic he used to do it.
I dont know what the hell I just witnessed but I am surprised that it didn't pick up for at least one season since the art style and concept alone
This *really* feels like the venture bros
Take this to Adult Swim
This was released in 2014 im actually fucking amazed.
WAIT WHAT IS THE STORY ON THIS JUST FOUND IT?
God. I wish it wasn’t interlaced.
i THOUGHT something was off about this video. if i ever get the dvd ill check if its the same for it too, or if its an issue with this specific upload
@@LordTacotheGreat it’s probably interlaced on the DVD too. That’s how they did things back then. It probably did not look bad on a 4:3 CRT monitor.
Rat Lady to Owl Lady was quite the step up
I shall name my first born son screwonhead
Its rare i enjoy anything by mainstream media from the cable cabal as much as I enjoyed this.
im going to SMOKE you that is...a weird and horrifying threat. how the hell did this NOT get made into a full show?
this is so good
Werewolf woman?
I can see this on the same level of the Venture Bros
Watching this makes me wonder if the game "Code name Steam" was inspired by this
This show was before its time. The artwork and beautiful absurdity of the story lines reminds me of axe cop. And they got Paul Giamatti, David Hide Pierce, Patton Oswalt, and Molly Shannon for the voice acting. Man, I wish we got to see more.
Cool art style, awful writing
Oh God, I must have been a kid when I watched this, because I vividly remember the ending were the dog is hit by the anchor, and I had no idea where it came from.
I love that they kept Gung around afterwards.
Premise, cool. Animation, awesome. Title... sounds like a carnival attraction? It sounds intentionally stupid. I'm surprised they even got a pilot. I would've watched the hell out of it, but I completely understand why an exec would be skeptical with a title like this.
The intentionally stupid theory sounds accurate to me, I heard Mignola chose the name based on the sort of crappy massed produced type action figure from the 80s that he described something like "the same shitty screw on head on a new body, just with new coat of paint." Thats not a direct quote, but pretty close to what I remember.
Идея неплохая и реализация более менее. Патриотизм прокачан на 200%. Ввести Авраама Линкольна👍
1:04 POISON ZOMBIE SOUND FROM HALF LIFE 2 DETECTED
This is perfect
This is beautiful
What in the actual f did i just stumble across?! Im so happy!!!
this give serious Hellboy vibes
The story, acting and animation are great, but the voices always seem to be fighting against the soundtrack. That's a bit jarring.
What....what did I just watch?
man, it's such a shame this was never picked up, i could see this being on the level of later venture bros in terms of quality
Darkest dungeon looks sick
I remember I swear I saw this on Adult Swim a long ass time ago
I liked Emperor Zombie much more than the screw on head imo lol
This is like if Hellboy had a more Raiders of the lost ark vibes.
What the hell, this is awesome! Why haven't i seen this before
It really burns my ASS That Screw-on Head, A: Didn't more Episodes. B: Is animated in Migola's style SO BEAUTIFULLY, yet... for SOME REASON... we've never gotten a HELLBOY Animated series, that is closely and directly inspired by the Comic Books/Graphic Novels, instead of CONSTANTLY Trying to be Del'Toro Inspired, when Mike Mignola Hellboy is LITERALLY one of the best Comic book characters ever made and flat out DESERVES a series/movie that is a One to One Translation of the comics! i know people love Del'Toro. i do too. but i do NOT like his version of Hellboy, i never have, and i never will! Granted the newer movie is even worse. but i wanna see the Mike Mignola COMIC BOOK HELLBOY in a movie or animated series! not someone else's version! it's just like saying "i want FRANK MILLER'S DARK KNIGHT RETURNS! I DON'T WANT TIM BURTON'S TAKE ON THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS!!!"
Where's hellboy when you need him.
