Also could have taken the transformer OUT of the wart, wired the new plug to the PCB and ground to the chassis. A lot cleaner install.

Good video. I just got a yellow one yesterday. So far, I like it. Your descriptions are right on. Mine played good right out of the box. The only thing so far is the binding on the fretboard is kind of sharp. I guess I have to get some new calluses on my fretting hand until I wear it down.

Well done review. You focus is on tone from pickups more than showcasing your playing, and you don't slack there either. Your delivery is real enough with some quirkiness, and is appreciated. I’m finding that the less expensive guitars are getting better and betterI have a Donner DTC-100S and it came with no fret sprouts (reminds me of the fret ends on my PRS SE (perfect) and a silky smooth satin finish on the neck, Love it!! The Bullfighter Lp style guitar I picked up from amazon for 150 delivered, it also came with a gig bag, extra strings, tuner, guitar chord, 3 decently thick picks,( I prefer a .88- 1.0 pick) so I was grateful for 3 decent picks, a strap, all the same stuff but, Not a single issue. Even the strings felt/ seem pre broke in! I am still playing it on the original strings it arrived with & that has Never happened before!

Hey bro, I just stumbled into your Gearit Lp video & wanted to say, I just picked up the last Bullstar, Bullfighter SB series LP style guitar from amazon & after tax & everything it cost $150. I believe it was $139 ish plus tax. Either way it came to a total of $150.delivered to my door! It plays 100% perfectly!!! I am very impressed by this company! Now I want their other models!!! It is also has a bolt on neck but, there is no metal backing plate, there is a speed cut & its pretty slick.

The pickups aren't like jazzmaster pickups. Very different design.

Read the manual there’s an adjustment just for this. It’s called noise reduction. You have to press bypass, push one button down while turning a knob. Or something along those lines. It will dial out that noise as you turn the knob You’re Welcome

The pickups are out of phase with each other. Flip the magnet on one of them.

I grabbed one before they sold out. For the price it is a pretty nice platform for us modding junkies. I leveled and polished the frets, oiled the fretboard, set the intonation and string height, filed the nut slots and softened the edges on the nut for it was pretty sharp. I liked the look of the vintage tuners but they will be replaced, the ones on mine weren't great. I made a spacer for the bridge pickup to get it up to the proper height to match the levels between the 2 pickups.I ordered a new harness with 330k full size pots, the pots that came in mine were tiny, the smallest I have ever seen but they function. All in all with a good setup this guitar punches above it's weight class without changing out any parts, I just can't help myself. Nice review and enjoy your new axe.

Since the price was so right, Id be inclined to throw about $50 at it in replacing the pots & wiring, a bone nut and good strings. But thats just me Nice playing, seems you got a better guitar then the average buyer of these.

I bought one just because it was so cheap. It actually plays really good but the pickups are noisy, p90's tend to be, but a bit microphonic. It is a great guitar to mod. Looks and plays very good. Pickups and pots are going to be tinkered with . I tend to get a lot of enjoyment out of buying a cheap/inexpensive guitar and tweaking it to my liking than buying a more expensive guitar. Have fun with yours!

Wow I was wondering what that was on the bridge pickup for a second,looks good for a mod platform.

3:00 you can put ball point pen springs in the screws on the tuneomatic bridge to keep it from buzzing. If that’s where the buzzing is coming from.

I mean for $80 bucks, it's a helluva deal if plays remotely decently. As long as you are taking the p/u's out... why not just throw in some decent used aftermarkets for $50-$100? Oh... and it sounds like it needs an intonation.

The p90s that came in the Yamaha RevStar I picked up a few months ago are so damn good, I’m sure some of you guys know this already, but the RevStar, imo, shits on the competition

Thing is decent I guess…for the $ it’d be ok to give to a young kid who’s never played, but the tlc needed for shit like this isn’t worth it imo…spend a couple hundred and you’re good…nothing worse than a guitar that isn’t fun or nice to play, will KILL a young kids drive to keep going

Nothing will needed to be done, great pickups, great build quality, AWESOME woods….the EART 335…been a lifelong 335 player and a bit of a snob when it came to semi hollows and guitar ps in general…I’m telling you guys, the playability, sound is RIDICULOUS…Brazilian rosewood board, roasted mahogany neck(maybe the best neck I’ve played), INCREDIBLE stainless steel rounded frets, pickups are replicating Gibson 57 classics and RIP..especially that bridge which is slightly overwound…I bought it last yr after a a buddy had played one and a yr later it’s the guitar I grab like 85% of the time
