It was tough but I took a break from my boycott of the Summer Olympics to listen to this broadcast. Unfortunately since I am a procrastinater, I didn't get around to watching this until well after the Olympics were actually over but that doesn't change the fact that I am boycotting the Olympics to watch this. You have to learn to take a broader view of the flow of time.
Interesting! Sounds like I need to look into Thousand Empty Light, this is the first I'm hearing of it so I appreciate you bringing attention to it. I also enjoy most of what you have in your "A" Tier, but there are a few there new to me. Vaesen has been on my list to try for a while but maybe it's less of a priority if MAN ALONE has rated it as Mid. Good stuff!
