Overlanding Mark Twain National Forest - Boony Stomper Teardrop Trailer Review
Our first trip testing the new Boony Stomper off-road trailer. Also, my first time ever towing anything like this!
This is our third time back, and the funny part is that we kind of stumbled on this area. This whole national forest is beautiful and clean, and has lots of remote areas to explore. A relatively easy drive from Chicago. A good area to scope out if you're traveling around the Midwest.
Follow along for a quick three day trip!

zhlédnutí 239Před měsícem
A super simple and affordable lighting kit! Many vehicles, like the 3G Tacoma, still don't have underhood lighting. It's super helpful after the sun goes down, illuminating parts of the engine bay that are difficult to see. In this video, we install the MOX Motors ROX kit and talk about output, etc. This kit comes with everything you need, including the switch! TrailTacoma Blog Post - trailtaco...

not pairing these with the red PB calipers is a crime!!!
Good job on providing information that is actually accurate. Not always the case for shocks reviews.
How would you rate them?
Pretty highly. They're an amazing mid-tier option and the customer support is great.
Young Jennifer Thompson Maria Rodriguez Laura
NOT a review. It’s a “And look at this other piece,” etc. Also, I don’t trust anyone who says “this bad boy.” Overused, lame, cringe.
Hey, like we mentioned in a different comment, this is meant to be a product overview of my setup with a handful of "review" elements. I linked a blog post I wrote that more specifically covers the review side of things. Sorry if the specific verbiage was not to your liking, lol...
How do they compare to the Baja boss
The Baja Boss tires are pretty legit. I think from a performance perspective, it really depends on your expectations. Mickey Thompson has AT and MT variants. They both work well. If we did a heads up with the MTs, the performance would likely be very similar.
This build is pretty awesome, but i wanna see more action man, i wanna see this 4runner do crazy trails, the most intense 4runner off roading I’ve seen has been with near stock 4runners.
We're working on more action focused content!
How many of those beers have you had? That mattress looks like a rock, plush my ass. Are you numb?
Solid info here, always down to see off-road focused trailers 👌
Thanks man! Game changer for sure. Especially for base campers and families!
Came for the review, stayed for them thighs in the river lol.
Kenny is the star of the show haha
I'm sold!
Where can I get one?
Link in description!
Nice video. You're very thorough. How are those brakes holding up? I thought about buying a set for my second gen Tacoma. Also let's say you have to replace the pads. Where do you buy them. All I see is that you have to buy a whole a brand new rotors and pads. Was just making sure before I buy it that you can actually buy pads although I don't see why you couldn't
They're amazing. Longer pad and rotor life. They definitely last. Stopping power is crazy good. The kit comes with all the components You can buy a generic part number pad from a local auto store if needed!
Why does the PSI matter if you have a snorkel or not?
Just stating it was so low that the truck was sitting considerably lower than normal.
But does it still fit in a 17 inch wheel inner barrel
Yes it does. Requires a 17" wheel. 16" won't work.
So what’s your new max speed? 45?
Nah. She still goes lol
Oh damn another- point towards merica
I have been driving VWs since 1973 and never had one with an automatic. But I do know you only have to shift a lame automatic transmission once when you aren't moving.
What lift inch ?
Why a rattlesnake
Are the handheld wire brushes steel or brass
Panzy ..... Com ng from a guy with an aftermarket shift knob on a AUTOMATIC
We were talking to people who asking if they were too hot. Well aware it's an auto lol
@@TrailCoMediathe only difference I can say is that living in Australia with a manual car, that shit gets scorching hot and I have to repeatedly shift gears but no on the whole it’s not that bad
Toyota has fallen. Look cool, but id take a 95 4 runner anyday
This was our fault with wiring to a recently relocated relay that couldn't handle winch load.
Maybe if you had a manual you would know lol. Not even a manual snob but when you have to sit at a light for 10 minutes and the sun is on the knob the entire time. Not fun when you go to grab it.
What happened to it?
Blew a main starter fuse.
Four runner always starts 💯
Except this time lol
Go let him go,theres many more nearby👍
Didn’t know shane gillis enjoyed offroading
lmao
what kind of beers?
Coors light lol
I'm glad there was a arrow pointing to the river. almost missed it till i seen that... W editz
Don't play with your dinner.
That’s rough.
Had a buddy last fall do that. Took four hours of wrenching and one trip into town
For vibrations and balancing
Did you bring the welder ?
We did not
Stoked on these!!
Heck yeah!
Have seen cardboard before in driveshafts it’s for noise like a pebble hitting it. It stops it from making a “ting” noise. They teach about that in automotive trade school.
Haha yup. We learned that shortly after.
Most aluminum driveshafts have cardboard liners
The more you know...
Cardboard screams Indian repair job to me, hahaha shampoo
😂
It's actually to reduce noise, we found out...
Pretty sure the cardboard cuts down on noise.
You are correct.
Well, now that trail has a pretty souvenir
Bikers fault
Bro complaining about the wrong type of paper. Buy a quality part before you put the vehicle to the test lmao
Helps keep it warm in the winter time 😂😂😂
That's actually part of it. And for noise.
gotta love that cardboard driveshafts, extra durable during rainy seasons
Pretty much... lol.
It was the cardboards fault..
Should have used Painters tape and we wouldn't be here
The cardboard is there to dampen vibrations
This. Completely normal. I wondered the same when I had to shorten one for someone years back and found it... I had to look it up to see. lol
And for noise!
Ya there is cardboard inside the driveshaft tube. And its there for a reason. Figure that shit out for yourself, and then get that trail tampon out of the way.
the OG’s! Gunna have to get me some of these, great install 👍🏼
Pretty rad!
Thanks, Jon!
