Testing the range on the Del Mar, almost 200 miles round trip, had to charge twice, make sure you plan your trip, charging from empty to full takes about 2 hours on level 2 public chargers, also your speed will limit your distance.

Picking up my S2 Del Mar and riding with the LiveWire team, thanks to Dillion and Louie for making the process super smooth, also great to meet Jack, bike ride was limited to the streets due to the high winds in Malibu, had a blast riding and talking with all the LiveWire owners, bikes are amazing, more videos will follow.

Great review. I currently ride an ebike religiously and love it. I REALLY want an e-motorcycle, but I still need to get a license. I have looked at a few brands but this seems to be a reliable one. I live alone and a very minimalist lifestyle so I want to get something like this one day.

Not a huge difference in comfort but it does help, the look is different too, I say save the money but it’s up to you.
I don’t agree with the tip over comment. I believe the bracket will likely cause damage to the area where it’s attached to the bottom of the seat.

Yes but keep in mind it is very easy to ride but at the same time for a beginner you need to be careful because the bike is very fast, you can control the modes just remember don’t get carried away and ride responsibly

Bike is a bit tall but you can always lean to one side, it does not look took in the pics but it is because of the tires. They are made here in the USA but they also ship all over.
How's the public charging experience vs. charging at home?
Not bad if you plan it and find a working charger, 20min and you are good to go. 100 miles is you take it easy and about 70 if you push it. Not bad for my commute.
@hlagunes Thank you. I don't trust manufacturer range/speed projections. Real tests from real people are still subjective, but I can better manage my expectations.

Did you have to plan where to charge for this? I assume you def had to stop somewhere. I’m considering one but I know it doesn’t fast charge really so not sure if I should. Granted I don’t commute too much but would be nice to take some scenic routes in Santa Monica or something sometime.
Wheel sizes are unfortunate on this bike: so little tire selection, and none of it good... it is practically a proprietary tire.
Same issue with my ftr1200s. Basically I can get one Avon tire or Bridgestone.

How much is insurance for you? I’m in LA considering getting back into bikes and was looking at the Del Mar as well. It was between this or a energica ego. Since I have a Tesla I think the ev bike would be a great addition.
For me it was $350 for the year but I been riding for over 20 years, I noticed electric bikes are a lot less to insure so shop around

How much faster can you make it
True 80+ mph, the way it is you can only go 65 or 70 if it’s flat, the speedometer is not accurate either, I adjust the wheel size too, plus no limit on sport mode, this is so dangerous on the highway, I don’t know how they got away with putting a 2 min lock on that
