Driving through a cardón cacti forest in Baja California Sur
Driving through a beautiful cardón cacti forest near La Ventana, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Turn up the sound to hear the purr of the CAT C7 and the scrapes of shrubbery on the sides of the RV (no shrubberies or cacti were harmed in the filming of this video).

Random video crawling up a narrow road to a possible boondocking spot near Baha de Concepcion, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
Los Frailes sand
zhlédnutí 979Před 5 lety
iOverlander is clear about the sand situation at Los Frailes, Baja Cali Sur, Mexico - stay to the south to avoid deep sand on the north side. So, naturally, we boondocked on the north side. It’s not obvious from this video but this sand is soft and deep. I didn’t air down to “Sand” mode but instead to “Cross-Country” just to see how she would do. As you can see, the LMTV didn’t seem to care - j...
Driving through a puddle!

It's just a mud puddle in the Anza-Borrego California desert but Lily thought it was fun so she filmed it. Most other drivers took a shortcut around it.
Folding up the Bliss Mobil habitat stairs!

This is pretty boring stuff but I realize from IG likes and comments that it's worth posting. Turn the sound up to hear that CAT7 diesel purring in the background! I promise to get more exciting things posted as well! You can always make requests!!
Operating the Bliss Mobil motorcycle carrier
zhlédnutí 5KPřed 5 lety
We carry a Yamaha XT250 on the back of our LMTV Bliss Mobil RV. We mostly use it for grocery runs and fun but it's also a “rescue bike” if needed. Picture all three of us on that little bike! - The moto lift is designed by Bliss Mobil, attaches to the container-style twist locks on the Bliss frame and uses an electric Warn winch to operate the lift. - I ratchet the bike like a madman: a large s...
Breaking camp v2
zhlédnutí 872Před 5 lety
It's interesting how much stuff we can cram in to that little storage area under the main bed. In this case we were boondocking in one location for over a week and had pretty much *everything* out. Total time to break camp with all that stuff and the motorcycle is about 30 mins. Changed music for v2. Now with music from my very good friend David @ ORISSA - bit.ly/2OtlUwU Check it out!
Bliss Mobil outdoor kitchen FTW!
zhlédnutí 4KPřed 5 lety
This a short teaser video...I'll post something more substantial on the Bliss Mobil outdoor kitchen in the future. That said, I love, love, love it! We do all our cooking, water heating (for coffee) and most dishwashing outside. The video doesn't do full justice to the kitchen but it has a work surface, small sink, induction plate and a "George Foreman" (panini) style grill. All electric. Depen...

Outdoor kitchen is nice. Grill looks rather high even for you!
Definitely a bit high for me. My partner used a stool to comfortably access it. We made it work (like every day, basically).
Found your video after visiting your website. Blogs are nice. Sorry to hear your journey is on pause at the moment. By the way, Bliss Mobil sells the www.blissmobil.com/accessories/alcove/ You can install it in your rig and it can be a bunk bed for your kid. That would provide privacy of some sorts. Also, www.blissmobil.com/accessories/extra-antenna-for-improved-3g-4g-reception/ Can improve wifi and stuff.
Greetings! This was not on offer when we originally purchased our unit. Great idea tho!
Hey I like the concept But I think the process could be cut in half with a little thought..good luck
Looks like a lot of work for small amount of shelter
How is the crane stabilized for load? I like that design. You did a very cost-effective build. Impressed!
How did it perform? I like Bliss's designs a lot.
You'd think a $400k+ vehicle would have an electric awning.
Greetings Jeff! The exterior is designed to take a lot of abuse from branches, etc, which I took advantage of with narrow forest roads. An externally placed awning would get damaged or torn off. On one occasion we camped near someone with a brand new "offroad" camper trailer which took a lot of damage on exterior plastic vents and whatnot on the road to the site. We just got more pinstripes from the branches.
Looks like it needs a mechanism to allow it to drop down a bit after sliding out. Still cool though.
Sorry I wouldn’t know where else to write you. Can you point me into the right direction for how to insure and which insurance company will ensure these vehicles? Thank you
Pass me your email through my blog contact form here: blissordie.com/contact/
Could you do a tour of the inside? And do you have a crawl through space from the cabin?
It's on the list! And yes, we do have a crawl through - we rarely use it but when you need it, you need it. One case was on a ferry where we couldn't extend the stairs.
blissordie I read all of your blog last night, watched all videos and everything you have done looks great. You have really made a good truck into what people dream of and somewhat affordable. I know you said something about you don’t post as much as you feel you should. Just keep doing what you love the posts and videos will come when you are ready. Keep up the great work and it truly is a beautiful truck!!
How many miles have you put on your expedition vehicle since you started your journey?
Roughly 7k miles
Thanks for the quick reply. You are an inspiration although I'm not sure I could pull off what you're done. Great work and hope to see more video updates. Cheers
Muchos gracias! It hasn't always been easy but I have no regrets.
Have you used the CTI yet? I've seen a video of a similar vehicle getting stuck in the sand and they had to let air out of their tires manually then air them back up after they got un-stuck.
I use the CTIS all the time! In this video, it's aired down to "cross-country". I've aired down to "sand" a few times but rarely feel like it's necessary. So far (knock wood!) I haven't been stuck.
Awesome vehicle....
Thanks Mark! The truck is amazingly capable so far.
does your Bliss have a screen door incorporated in the door frame, what do you do if it's buggy out and what to keep the door open? thanks
It has a detachable screen that we can put up. It works to keep most bugs out.
Like the music.
Check out ORISSA! Link in the video description.
Awesome. Thanks
My pleasure! It's not super exciting since it's mostly me strapping things down.
hmmm.... not to good for rain I guess when it comes to getting in and out of habitat. Fine for sun block I guess.
Yes, it doesn't block rain from the door or steps. I believe there are two reasons why Bliss didn't put a standard awning at the habitat top corner: 1) it's tall and 2) it would be a risk to snap off going through branches/brush. As it is, the habitat doesn't have any outside appendages that can break off in rough stuff.
The top of the grill looks really high. Do you find yourself having to stand on something to use it?
Yes it is high up. The boxes around the bottom of the bliss unit are mounted to the subframe the unit is mounted to. When parked flat or the kitchen is on the "uphill" side, it's no problem. If the kitchen is on the "downhill" side I might stand on a step.
@@blissordie Thanks, have thoroughly enjoyed following over the last year!
Thanks @upupaepops! LMK what other videos you'd like to see. I'll do some with narration/explanations too.
Love that outdoor kitchen! Looks like you are some where south -i.e. some where warm?
Near North Fork, CA which claims to be the exact center of Cali. It's in the foothills of the Sierra range. It was warm during the day (75F) and cool at night (50F). I'll post some more video of the kitchen since it's one of my favorite features. I'll narrate setting up...the music is to just get these things out there for now...
Let me know in comments what else you'd like to see!
Thats great. Did you do the conexion for the tent your self?
No, it was an option for the Bliss Mobil habitat..
