OMG.... That was something really special. And to see Red 10 slide backwards over the top of the formation was such an impressive display of flying skills in close proximity to the K-135 🤗❤️

I couldn’t help but smile all through that. It’s like when your mate buys a new Ferrari and throws you the keys and says “go on give it a go”

The was such an amazing surprise and superbly captured in that weather by our own world class cameraman….Nikos the legend 🫡

As an ex RAF pilot myself though not in this class, I have seen many air displays. This one seems to me to remain as close as possible to the camera (thus the crowd) position rather than some others which constantly disappear into the distance with the result that during much of the display time the aircraft can't be seen or can't be seen clearly. I regret that this criticism seems valid of many Red Arrows sequences despite the formation separating often to try to avoid that problem.

In all the years I have visited RAF Holbech, Donna Nook, and even Wainfleet in the past, I have never seen the Red Arrows "on range", the odd heavy yes! What a brilliant capture for you. A total pleasure too watch. Lovin these F35's more with each watch. Very captivating following them in on approach for vertical landing, get quite involved in it. How much skill must it require to remain so steady before touchdown?? These pilots are brilliant 👏 very majestic sight with the Lift fan operating as they slow. They hit the deck hard but I guess it's the way they are taught? Whether on approach or 2 ship and break, you really wouldn't want to mess with them. Thank goodness that technology is homegrown, with epic Rolls Royce intervention couple that with the Pratt & Witney and you have a winner. Really great picture too. Close ups are spectacular. Onto Mordor which I arrived too late for. Wish Rolls Royce could have intervened in my working day. 😂 Nice Ted 👍
