I spent $400 on an Apple Watch 9 and I get nothing. No readings from my phone and nothing from direct to watch. My phone app tells me I'm connected but I never get a message to pair from my watch. My phone continuously says my watch is searching. This is very frustrating. The only reason I bought an Apple Watch was to get my bg without my phone.

Thanks for this video. This confirms what I was seeing with my direct to watch. I was getting multiple disconnects during the day. I also notice an increased battery drain. I to have a love hate relationship with this and also realize that this is still in its early stages.

The signal loss happens too often. Not reliable. Was thinking of switching from tslim X2 to mobi and relying on the watch but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen.

The only draw back I do not like is you go to change it out every 3 days just makes no sense to me at all. I can understand every 14 days like a sensor but every three days just makes no sense to me at all...I do not understand that at all...So lets say 200 unites but you do not use all of it & say you got 50 units left what a waste...So they make sure you must change it out because the insulin goes in the back so SMART of them every 3 days just so they can make money of all those PODS you must change out every 3 days...smh!

How to take off and put back on

I've never liked to run on purpose. I never have the need to go without my phone. I do run direct to watch and do find that the watch will switch to getting the info from the phone rather than the sensor. Mostly happens when the sensor and watch are on opposite side of my body. The G7 is smaller than the G6 which means the internals of the G7 have to be smaller as well i.e. smaller antenna and smaller battery.

Thanks much for putting the time in to share this video! Although I'm an android/libre user, this is really helpful :) Not sure if the G7 suffers from the same problem that the Libre does, but I've found that if my glucose level fluctuates wildly (having a gigantic up/down delta), the sensor will simply give up for a period of time until it can get a good predictable trend again. Have you looked at your bg graph and seen if that could be a reason you had issues?

Got android with g7 and it never gave me a direct connect option. They only gave a health connection option and it does nothing for connecting info to watch.

Thank you so much! I just got my first Apple Watch-SE two and have had so much fun playing with it. If you recall, I am totally blind, but I do love all the technology that has come out lately! I've been trying to get Dexcom on my watch face and this video showed me how to do it! I wasn't able to do it using the watch app from my iPhone because Dexcom G7 doesn't show up as in the complications list, but I was able to do it on the phone itself using your instructions! I have the watch 6 and it wont work on mine i love samsung but im seriously thinking on getting apple watch and phone because dexcom g7 is available there 😢

It‘s incredible. In germany is ist now also available. I have been using it for a few days, but unfortunately the Watch often simply loses the connection. It is not yet usable reliably :(

T1D’s are known to have keen interest in titrating food (carbs), AND quantifying to titrate exercise, visa vi blood sugar while working out; (whew) is VERY HELPFUL FOR ME NOT CRASHING WHILE IN THE PT POOL. Two things that must occur at the same time; knowing my exercise values and not crashing while exercising. The Apple watch has solved this for me and everyone in the room actually.

It would be useful if they said that they will not include Dexcom share. Never crossed my mind that they won’t ship that feature. Our son has t1d, so without Dexcom share, watch is useless for us…

I have an old dad who doesn't have a smartphone and doesn't know how to use a mobile phone. Can the receiver directly send me a sugar reading if I am not with it?

The low power bluetooth hangs regularly. Whenever you walk away from your phone, at the beginning of your walk you have to restart bluetooth which disconnects your ear pods and watch, then you have to reconnect them. Then you're good to go. Dexcom and Apple really need to work together to fix this immediately and they'll have a completely baked new feature here that improves everyone's lives.

This is way too late from Dexcom ,they have been promising this for years. And they ignore over half them Android market.

Direct to Garmin watch would be nice, they have a crazy long battery life.

I’m LADA and I have to buy my cgms as I’m not dying from being hypo unaware. Many endos don’t believe adults can get any other types than 2 in my city sadly and I am fighting for coverage for every single thing including my mobility device and soon a lifter. I believe that a device should be considered for coverage if the need is present no matter what your diagnosis is.

Do we know anything about the developer? I'm just asking if they are legit since it requires my Dexcom login.

The Blose watch face doesn't show up in my search results. Is there something else I can try? How do I get the one that you were using at the beginning of this tutorial?

They already can do this remotely. And how is this different than Libre or Dexcom?
