Question can I use a EverStart Lead Acid Marine Starting Battery, Group Size 24MS 12 Volt, 1000 MCA for my 62 trust trolling motor?
This floor is the best lay out Thanks
Glad you like it!
It looks better with carpet, but I would prefer to paint the plywood black as it would be easier to keep clean.
Looks fantastic. I have a 4x8 Harbour freight trailer that i use for my 10 ft. pond prowler. Wish mine look as good as yours. Proud of you. Keep up the good work.
Purchased my Bass Raider 10e a week ago… your video is absolutely what I was looking for! Thank you for the clear and concise instructions. Once I have a nice day I’m going to do this project myself!
Glad I could help!
I was really hoping to turn a bow mount foot control trolling motor into a transom mount foot control trolling motor. Is it possible?
Your trailer and boat looks great
Thank you brother!
I just purchased this little boat and your video with measurements was just what i needed.Thank for tutorial , quick and to the point.
Thanks for watching! Congratulations on your new boat!
Looks good. I’m planning to turn a harbor freight 4x8 trailer into a boat trailer for my bass raider.
Awesome let me know how it turns out!
might be a dumb question but can the same happen but opposite?
Dopeee
Thanks bro!
Very nice, and good job. I have the same senario but I'm using bunks and 2x6 or 2x4 planks for the trailer. thanks for your video, it helps us all.
Thank you for watching! Good luck with your trailer.
Good looking rig
Thank you!
120 is kinda a rip I just got one this morning for a rat and spider fishing lure 😂 and it was in perfect condition
What can I say, you win some you lose some 😅
@@dgalvan529 true 😂
I would love to have one of these boats if they were 12 foot.
They have a pelican 12 ft John boat version as well.
Where do you purchase these rod holders at?
I found them on Amazon.
Does the casting deck support your weight without flexing? I plan on making mine a foot longer since I don't need it to convert. Was unsure if I should add support below. Nice setup and thank you.
With the 3/4 I didn’t have any flex how did yours turn out?
@dgalvan529 Works awesome, thank you.
@@jasonyoung1999glad to hear!
This video has been really helpful, thanks!
I appreciate you watching!
Great video. Good job on breaking down the measurements for everyone. 🏆💙🏆 thanks for sharing.
No problem thanks for watching!
How is this foot / pedal compatible? 😅
Bro awesome video 👍🏽
Thanks bro i appreciate it!
Nice set up.
Thank you!
That’s some excellent work! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching!
Do you have to remove the eyebolt in the front transom when you put trolling motor on?
I do but I ended up buying a a 2.5 hp Suzuki outboard so I rarely use the trolling motor now.
B O W... Boowwwa! Not bow as in a string instrument of death... Bow as in the front of the boat
I know that now lol didn’t know that when I made the video.
Did the boat already come with the foam in it already?
Hey Jake, yes they all come like that.
Nice job man! One question though. I trailer mine. Do you think the deck would fly out on the highway?
Thanks for watching! I trailer mine also and it’s never flown out.
Great job...very neat!
Thanks for watching I appreciate it!
Great video my friend. Question? I have a minnkota 30lb transom mount motor. If I buy a minnkota 48lb bow mount motor. Your video of disassembling bow mount and adding transom mount is all there is?
Hi, it should be the same but I’d call Minn Kota just to make sure the transom will fit the different size motor shaft. I called and gave my model and serial number and they told me which transom Mount to buy.
Where tape of motor hp power you have?!?!
I have a 2.5 hp Suzuki outboard and a 45 lb thrust Minn Kota trolling motor.
Catching Bluegills is how I first learned how to fish, I remember being that kid
That’s awesome bro I’m glad my kids will remember the same thing!
Hey bro do you ever take your pelican to a big lake?
I’ve taken it out to the beach but I was on the bay side so it wasn’t that bad. My buddy took his to falcon lake, that’s a good size lake.
Have you done anymore upgrades recently
@@ernestgarcia8057 I bought a 2.5 HP Suzuki outboard that’s it. I just haven’t posted any videos in a while.
How’s the weight on that thing. Just my battery and trolling motor is damn near in the water lol
That’s cool man! Thanks for the info
Thanks bro!
I saw the fish on the fish angler app
Awesome bro thanks for watching!
Great video is the pescador 10 good for the bay and flat
Hey bud thanks for watching, I’ve taken it to the bay at south padre island twice and I had no issues.
With 3/4" plywood that's got to add alot of weight to the boat I have a 14ft John boat I used 3/8" plywood with aluminum rails across the top screwed my plywood to the aluminum with self drilling screws and made 2 hatch doors it works fine I also added carpet , when building a deck on a boat you do have to consider the weight of the lumber and motor size Its like having 2 extra people on the boat with wood weight I have a 40hp outboard building my deck did make my boat a little slower speed wise but with a 2man boat building a deck adds a considerable amount of weight just my thought
Hey Allen thanks for watching, I appreciate the input, it does weigh a bit more but with a small boat I’m not looking for speed. I also have a 2.5 hp Suzuki outboard and it works great! I have a different deck that I made and used 1/2 inch on that one for the floor and 3/4 for the deck so that it could hold the weight.
When you’re backing the trailer into the water, do you have a problem with the stability as far as floating because of the wooden deck?
No I haven’t had any issues, the deck is pretty heavy.
Keep the Allen wrench and other tools for your pedal in your tackle box
Very true!
Just wondering why you didn't go the extra and put a rubber mat down before the floor to keep it from moving forward and back I have found that doing this the wood floor can also be cut a little wider as to fit a little bit tighter not that you did anything wrong I can appreciate your work and sharing the video just wanted to add something for you to think about later on I've seen floors that move a little and have wore holes in the boat
Thanks for your input. When I added the carpet to the wood it made it a tight fit so there’s no moving back and forth. If you try the mat let me know how it works out for you. Thanks for watching.
What screws do you use?
The kit came with stainless steel screws.
This is perfect! Thanks buddy!
Thanks for watching!
Any how much weight with accessories and 2 people? Looks great btw
I’ve taken it out several times with two people but we both weighed about 180 each. Didn’t have any issues at all with the weight.
Nice dude, appreciate the install, I have the same kayak helped a lot
Glad I could help bro thanks for watching!
How is your boat storing it outside. I live in south Texas too. Worried about the heat when I do buy my raider. Thanks For your time. Gabe in San Antonio
Hey Gabe, I bought a boat cover from academy and the sun ate right through it in about 6 months. The boat is solid, it’s under the sun all day now but it’s looks fine. I installed a scupper drain because the rain would fill it up with water so I recommend that. Other than that if you have any questions just let me know thanks for watching.
Thanks for responding. I watched all your videos and plan on doing the same mods you did. Happy fishing. Love that you teaching the kids how to fish. Grandpa of 5 Fishers
@@rubbingisracing1 I really appreciate that brother thank you. Your grandkids will love taking rides on the Bass Raider I took my 3 kids with me to a small lake and just had one seat in the back we didn’t fish we just went for a ride they loved it. Like I said bro feel free to reach out if you have questions.
Why did you switch to a trailer I don’t want to haul a trailer
@@rubbingisracing1 because with the casting deck from my first video it got a bit heavy for one person and I was planning on moving into an apartment and figured the only way to store it at the apartment would be on a trailer. I ended up making that second deck though and it’s a lot lighter.
very well done, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it.
Have you thought about getting a Bimini top?
I’ve seen them but I think it’ll get in the way of my casting.
You’re a genius. So simple but perfect. I wanted to build an all out casting deck but didn’t want to lose space saw your comment on another guys video and checked it out glad I did too thanks!
Thank you for watching! I’m glad I could help.
I've seen videos of them in the rio hondo area up to del rey boat ramp... i haven't come across one myself yet, but i'm sure with time, it's bound to happen.
Yeah bro I’m sure you will. I was walking up about to throw the casting net and hear splashing and saw it getting in the water from the bank.
