7 Day's Camping & Fishing Lake Superior's Remote North Shore Wilderness WILD TROUT Catch & Cook
7 Challenging days, 70km Camping, Fishing, Canoeing & Catching & Cooking Wild Native Rainbow and Lake Trout within the remote North Shore of Lake Superior's Wilderness. We canoe camp along the Dog River, a tributary to Lake Superior which features Denison Falls a spectacular wilderness waterfall just shy of the height of Niagara Falls. We paddle challenging white water and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Once at the mouth we catch many beautiful trout and Pike and cook them over the campfire. We see several moose, Bald Eagles, waterfalls, camp in the rain, have a delicious shore lunch and canoe through serene but eerie fog along the coast of the Worlds Largest Lake. I am joined by @ExploreTheBackcountry @JimBairdAdventurer @XanderBudnick @maximbudnick and Cam, All Great company and excellent outdoorsman.

Ok, you warned me it was a "catch and cook", but I freaked out a little when you BBQed a trophy steelhead. I'm going to pretend that it was an adipose fin clipped stocker and not that wild fish I have been searching for the last 20 years. Wouldn't want to eat any large pike either.

That's a whole lot of fish cleaning, cooking and eating. What did you do with the guts and scraps? Algonquin doesn't have best history when it comes to bears. With that many brookies and lakers, it's probably spring there. While there are 3 of you with your dogs, bears are going to be mighty hungry, and don't always act predictably.
