Great job scottie, I have always favored the falcon, have had own some of the older models from the 70,s, very hard to get and with higher costs... Looking at a 2005 xr6 falcon some time this year, that will be my next priority, it's color is canary yellow 💛, Looking at a full repaint in metallic gold... There a great car,will see how it goes...

My family's falcon (a 2004 or 05 xt mk2 wagon) was an ex government verhicle. I haven't actually looked to see if any parts are different but it did have some rewiring for the headlights to have them always on for some reason

Hey mate I got issues with my barra. At idle the revs drop, and car feels like a bag of shit. Replaced cam solenoids and the timing was a little bit retard on both cams. Only took the rocker cover off but the guides looked ok. Is it common to jump both inlet and exhaust cams at the same time. Was on TDC and checked with a screwdriver. Got a lot of people confused. Not going to take the engine out but I was to do the chain and everything, do I have to completely remove the sump or just drop the front end of it down?? Cheers Tyson

You are a total legend mate. I just knocked mine around on a bloody kurb that was a bit high. Sounds like I've ripped something out reversing but after watching this, I'm not so concerned knowing what actually holds it in place. Thanks mate.

That piece of wood reminds me of the Gregory's manual special tool instructions for the timing chain tensioner of L series Nissan 4 & 6 cylinder engines. They're almost the same looking wooden block but a better tool in the case of the Nissans was a broom handle with a couple of flats sawn or ground in a slight wedge shape. Like yours, it worked an absolute treat too.

Only working with 1 arm??? Great instructional mate. I believe in renewing things in pairs- regardless. A man's shed is NEVER big enough!

What size converter ? What size rear housing ? When’s it come on boost ?

BTW... It should be a thread fixer on pulley`s bolt from manufacturer. Is there any chance to break the bolt during this replacing, or it`s strong enough? Also, do we need to add any thread fixer (Loctite, etc...) with new pulley installation to prevent self- unscrewing, please? Thank you
