I say the same thing. I wish they opened up areas like Pringle road and croatan behind star hill as an ohv, because it would bring good income to the state or federal depending on who owns what. We got lots of sandy areas and decent places for trails, like the old days. I used to ride horses all throughout the croatan and it would just be a blast to do ATV. Dang, I'm glad you had some buddies to help you but did you get hurt out there? This video was our first time and we didn't really have a guide either but the staff explained how the park layout was. As for the difficulty of the trail, I would 100% say you should have a riding buddy. A couple areas are truly technical and easy to flip due to the slope, slickness, ruts, or rocks. I can see why you didn't enjoy the park that well; but for me because I live right on the coast line, I really enjoy the change and the little bit of challenge. I will say for sure that a lifted bike like mine makes it so much more difficult at times and extremely intimating. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience.

@@WantedTrails no I was OK. I was barely moving when the ATV went over. Just had to stand there and wait because I couldn't lift it back to all 4 tires. I think your lifted ATV is a blessing and a curse. Good for some stuff, bad for others. My stock 25s didn't do me any favors that day. I definitely think a wider machine (SxS) has an advantage there because those ruts are bad. I saw a guy on some 30s or 32s there on a Renegade go up a hill and turned to the right to climb the hill more, and when he turned on those big tires it tilted right over and he was able to walk up the ATV as it was going over. Just luckily it leaned against a tree and he was able to stand on the ATV and hold on to the tree. If not for the tree the ATV would have been down the backside of the hill. He probably would have been able to keep walking up it until he jumped off, but the ATV wouldn't have been as lucky.

@@jasoncampbell2808 Right, our bikes can be pretty heavy. Since I'm lifted and ride on 30s, I actually installed some decent 2" wheel spacers to help with stability. Both times I been to that park I was just lifted with 30" BKTs; but I plan on going back in June with my new setup and tires. Stupidly, I'm running skinny mud tires and not the best choice for those trails... 😅

Night and Day Difference! Before, I was able to crawl up logs and other steep obstacles only in Low Range. Now, I can do it in High (Drive). Not only did my High (Drive) improve, but my Low Range even ended up getting more power and torque! I wasn't sure if it was going to be worth it, but I'm glad I did it! Thanks for watching. 😁

Yes Sir! But because I seen ya looking around, I'm gonna let you know that I do get an issue with my DCT electric shifter if it stalls... Even in manual it may get stuck or refuse to go into a gear, until it's moved a little bit... Just happened yesterday at Deep Creek ATV Park because I washed away my di-electrical grease... I will also add that my new exhaust setup is amazing with the tuner for water! However... Sometimes it will just randomly stall around a cold start. Haven't had that happen in the water yet but I'm guessing it could.

@@ChannelMarker Absolutely, I agree. We actually walk every hole we go in before hand. In the water/mud hole in this video we actually both fell in it off camera lol

@@NoSend901 I believe so, yes. The thing about that reservoir, it's a pain to open, which is good... BUT try not to bend the metal flaps on inside of cap. If you do it will result in a small leak, which isn't too serious and can be fixed by bending it back.

Yeah I had so much on my mind that I just lost it. But man I'm excited to see how well they perform too! Those BKTs are excellent tires, but when it came to loose material, like sand or watery swamp mud, it would just dig a hole to china!

I'm actually trying to decide between the bkt's and the aztecs for my polaris general! I'm pretty confident they are both great tires, the bkt's are more affordable but I think the aztecs will be a little better everywhere!

​@@mattlynch2823 I mean, the BKTs I used them in southern swamp mud and up in the rocky mountains trail riding. They performed great, but as you know they are just pure tractor tires with 0% sidewall. So you are sliding on wet clay and rock. Not to mention the constant digging. The Az tex's, I seen them in person perform wonderfully, made a hole I struggled in look easy! But, I can't say for sure until I try them. So far, I love the design of the Aztex and im hoping to test them out soon!

@@WantedTrails thanks for sharing, you can't beat first hand knowledge! I think the aztecs are the way to go, I just wish they had more width choices!

@@mattlynch2823 I remembered your comment and I got to tell ya, I had a lot more fun riding with the Aztex rather than the BKTs. I even got more traction with similar obstacles from the past when I ran the BKTs. Trail riding wasn't bad with my setup, I pumped the air up to 8.5 PSI and they performed great on slick clay, soft sand, and thick mud. They are not a highway tire by any means, but neither are the BKTs. Honestly, if I had to rank them. I'd rank Aztex's #1 and than followed in #2 would be the BKTs. I'm really looking forward to getting up to the mountains to see how they perform on the rocky terrain up there! The only biggest downfall to me is that the 30x14 BKTs I have measure out to 30" with low PSI, while the 30x14 Aztexs measure to about 29" with low PSI...

Thanks for watching! Yeah it's automatic. It really struggles when I leave it in High Gear (D) and in Auto. I've been trying to remind myself to switch to Low Gear (L) and Manual 1st or 2nd gear, but I do forget and get caught up in the moment... Once it's in Low Gear it goes.
