I'm in the process of just having the 💣💣 to put myself out there on the inter-webs, and sometimes facilitating others talent and competence helps everyone involved, rising tide raises all ships. Kapo on the 8th fret, C, G, Em, D Tabs says it’s different but I disagree. There’s a recording of me doing the picking, playing in the background. kapo is on the 8th fret in the recording too tho. But, I often play it by picking it and strumming it at the same time with some hammer ons and pull offs. Mess around with it. Have fun! U don’t need two separate tracks, I just thought it’d sound cool. it’s very doable at the same time

Not sure what tuning he’s using so I messed with my own. Realistically he’s doin some sort of dadf#ad tuning with a kapo on 1 or something similar. But in this video I didn’t do that I tuned the bottom string down to D to have EADGBD and played it in C with a kapo on the 3rd fret. Bunch of Cs, and some with a finger down on the 3rd fret of the low e, and some Fs done the easy way with fingers down on the third frets of the a and d string and one on the first fret of the b. The g string stays mostly empty even during the f besides for some random hammer ons. When the song adds a G, I slide the weird F up two frets for the effect F C over and over until “don’t leave just yet” where it’s just a cool echoey f. Then back to the pattern. When u get to “plea-ea-ease” do the f slide to g, slide to f, “easy feeling” is f, slide to g, and back to the c C and f until the end for the “won’t you stay a while”

He’s using a retuning and I can’t place it. There are two possible ways to do it I’ve been messing with. One with no kapo, and the one I play here. With no kapo the song is in C and u have to keep a pinky down on the third fret of the high e for the whole song. If ur doing it the way I did it, downtune the high E to D so u have EADGBD, put a kapo on 5 (mines on 4 for the video so I can hit the key better. It’s 5 tho). And then it’s in G instead of C. The chords to the Low are Em, D(don’t change the note on the high e string), C, C, Prechorus is G, C, Em C, Chorus G, D, C C, G, D, C, C Later chorus becomes G D C C Em D C C Post chorus instrumental Em, D , C, C Every once in a while I sub that second c for an Am. I randomly leave the D string open when I play a C (or Am) and I randomly hammer on the 2nd fret of the G string to give it effects if it feels right and I have a free finger

I’m pretty sure I learned most of this one from a tab someone else made on the tabs app. It may have been a premium one tho which would be harder to find. I pay for a premium account. There’s no retuning involved. I don’t really know how to make a tab and post it tho. I could make a tutorial but ur the only one who’d watch it 😂

Lol yeah. I was tryna cut a specific section of the video to under one minute for a post I was gonna make so I did it faster. If I ever post a full cover I’ll do it closer to correct

It’s playable in similar ways that sound close in regular tuning and in open e or c I believe. But Im pretty sure they’re using the tuning CGDGGD. With a capo on the sixth fret, the song is played in C# Hollow Coves also uses this tuning in coastline and interlude and evermore and a few other songs so i didn’t guess it from nowhere, but the moment I tried it it seemed to be the obvious correct tuning

I have a tutorial posted elsewhere on my channel besides for the cover, but I posted it in the first days after the song was new so I hadn’t really perfected it yet.
