Is it normal for a new kindle to freeze so much? Also when I try to go to next page it goes to the cover page and I have a hard time reading. I restarted it, but if it's new it shouldn't have such problems should it? Also everyone talks about the battery but the battery on mine drains super fast. it's 98 and then I use it and it drops within 5 minutes to 89. Airplane mode doesn't do anything.

Guys, I am lost and need your help! I have an old Kobo Aura 2 I bought about 8 (?) years ago, and I love it! It still works fine, and I enjoy reading with it. However, I mainly read at night because my brain has decided that reading is a night-time activity, so I'd like to have a new e-reader that comes with a night light. I would like to have an e-reader with the shape of the Libra Color, but here comes the dilemma. I seldom read any color content. I might read some manga if I had a bigger screen (and most of them are B/W anyway), and I'm a bit concerned that the Libra Color may not offer a great B/W experience. Unfortunately, they discontinued the Libra 2. I really do not want to get involved with anything Amazon sells since I like to have freedom with the repositories and libraries I can get books from, and I love the Kobo OS and general experience. What should I do? Wait for Kobo to release a new device, hoping they will make a B/W version?

I am a first time buyer, I was more keenly interested in reading the books more but since I am now a mother and a teacher with every duty possible to do in the world I should now go for Kindle. I decided to go with the Paperwhite and I’m so glad I did. Mine is green. It’s helped me read a lot faster and with more focus. I love the warm light for evening and night reading and that it can easily fit in my purse.

3:22 there is a setting for that in kindle as well... when in sleep mode it shows the cover of the book you're reading currently.. I use it (but I keep a kindle cover, so :D )

Readwise is not for me. I downloaded it, and within 15 minutes, I realized I could not upload or access my 100 or so ePub books. Bad app, and you should have mentioned it's not free, after 30 days. Be more honest ! Thumbs down !

I like kindle precisely for all the amenities it lacks and I have no interest in having my kindle function as a tablet. No emails, calls, social media, notifications and all that jazz even the device is slow. I consider it an impeccable device. The Power button could have had a better placement but with the c type charger I cannot find reason to complain.

Hi Maneet Paul! I bought Kobo Clara 2E about 4 months ago after watching your helpful reviews. Now I can't seem to find Kobo Clara 2E, Kobo Nia or Kobo Libra 2 in the market. I'm in India and would like to know if Kobo has discontinued these relatively new products in every market including Canada or there is a supply chain disruption?

I have books from Rakuten store and also the books I manually put. I wonder how I can make backup of my books / data of my Kobo in case I change my e-reader or get a new kobo reader.

What is the difference between prime reading and kindle unlimited?

I bought Kobo 2E. As a casual reader I can say that I read more books since I bought it. I have easier way of getting cooler books (most books I like to read are not always available in local bookstores) and also feel like it's easier to hold read and take wherever I go. I can even carry it in my car and read while waiting someone or read in short tea/coffee breaks while working.
