Rolling Acres Whitby Neighbourhood Tour & Information With Durham Region Realtor
In this series, we break down different Durham Region neighbourhoods. The tour will start from my desk where we will hop into where each neighbourhood is located on a map, a little bit about the area including schools, things to do and housing types. From there we will hop into my car for a quick drive around different parts of the area.
Rolling Acres is located in the north east part of Whitby. This neighbourhood is conveniently located in the sense that the 407 and 401 are both less than 10 minutes away and so is everything that Taunton Rd has to offer.

Great video, So we are preparing our dossier to submit to landlords in the Whitby area as we plan to relocate there in August. We are PR holders from France and are looking to rent initially. What should we include in the dossier? We have the following already: 1. Job offer from Canadian company 2. Pay slips from current company in France. 3. Proof of sale of our French house. 4. Letter from our French bank to show that we have always been in good standing. 5. France does not do credit score and hence we are producing the letter above. Did we leave out anything? Also how do we prevent la dlords from doing a hard credit check on us? Thanks.
Hey there! It sounds like you are on the right track with the documents that you have put together. I would explain the credit situation to the potential landlord ahead of time. Some of them will want to see proof of funds in an account or a larger deposit with your offer (more than first and last months' rent) as additional security! Excellent video. Do you need to have a permanent home address before you can register your kids in Catholic schools within the Durham region? What happens if you have recently moved to the area and are staying in a temporary accommodation?
