The churros at Bufadora will forever stay in my heart. 😂 Almost thought I’d see myself along the wall. My great Aunt & Uncle lived a few miles away from Knotts & they use to take me and my sister there all the time between 1968-74. I grew up in Bellflower in the 70's & 80's so I didn't live that far & used to go there a lot up until about 1990. I know its nothing like it was plus I live in South Carolina now so those are just great memories of definitely a better time. 😌

The Berkeley used to be tied up at a pier in Sausalito in the 50s and 60s .....It was used as a Cost Plus style store called the Trade Fair ......The San Diego Museum has taken good care of it .

One time I went to Maxwell St. With a buddy who was looking for a car stereo and thought he could haggle for a good price. I told him that he better be ready to pay the asking price because things are are already cheap. After about 45 minutes the guy he was talking to and finally caved and sold one for $50 that he was asking $125 because he got tired of the back and forth.

I remember the commercial for this. It had an eyeball searching for the nice and naughty children. Scared me half to death! And when we drove from Burlington, Vermont to my grandparent’s home in Slingerlands, NY, I’d hide under a blanket as we drove past the village.
