Wow what a beautiful performance, proud to be Lithuania 💚💎💚
It is time for paganism to return
but is this at all accurate to how they worshipped then or an homage to them?
Lithuania became a Christian state in 1387, but many didn’t convert; primarily the aristocrats and those seeking proximity to them embraced Christianity. However, many remained pagan until the official suppression of paganism in Lithuania during the 17th and 18th centuries. Despite this, numerous individuals held onto pagan rituals in secret. There was a resurgence of interest in pagan traditions and a desire to return to the original ways around 1940, but the Soviets suppressed it. Nonetheless, interest in pagan practices began to grow slowly and then exploded in the 1990s following the independence of the Soviet states. So unlike many other pagan practices in Europe, Baltic paganism followed by the Lithuanians didn’t need much reconstruction because it still survived in secret after the suppression of the 17th and 18th centuries.
kaip didinga!
Both of my parents are Lithuanian, but I have lived my life in the USA. This is emotionally overwhelming for me and reminds me who I am.
What is this harry potter bullshit

So beautiful! The traditions of my own ancestors ❤. I visited Lietuva in 2016 and I felt as though I had come home. 🙏
It is nice to see that some folk traditions are still keeping strength and even growing up in this crazy world of our days.
I'm Christian, but this is beautiful!

It's kinda similar like Vedic culture. Love from India ❤.

This sounds and looks amazing! Thanks for sharing this with us out here in south east Alabama USA!☮️❤️
Thanks to the Crusaders for washing away that pagan garbage
Dont toch my brothers peace of garbage
1410 pagans washed away the crusaders, largest medieval battle in European history <3
@@Ladyoftheherbs and still ended with the Christianization of Lithuania
@@memoco1552 which our duke few years later denounced going back to paganism because the Crusader's attacks didn't stop as it was promised. Shows how you cannot truly turn a country christian by having a group of faithful rapists kill their culture.
Crusader got beaten in 1410 💪

I'm an American, from Scandinavian, French, Irish and British roots but I know there are ancient "Indo European" connections with the Baltic people. This gives me some living sense of the pre Christian heritage. It is meaningful especially to Baltic people but also to everyone with Indo European roots. Keep it up, keep the flame.
Greetings from Bulgaria/Linkėjimai iš Bulgarijos! 🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬❤️🇱🇹🇱🇹🇱🇹🇱🇹🇱🇹🇱🇹🇱🇹 Lithuania has Romuva, and we have the Bulgarian national faith/Lietuva turi Romuvą, o mes turime bulgarų tautinį tikėjimą. 🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳
Lithuania is catholic land
@@Lithowave There is a kinship between the Bulgarians and the two Baltic nations! Not to mention that we Bulgarians should also be allies of the Estonians because of our tribal-national relations with the Hungarians.
Please post more Lithuanian music.❤

WOW beautiful
Ancient Religion is the Link with Nature...without Nature, Humankind is dead.
with paganism Lithuania would be dead
I might be american, but my family escaped from the soviets with my grandfather from latvia, and grandmother from lithuania. Will always honor my ancestry. Working on a full sleeve tattoo. My upper arm is complete with Vytis. My lower arm will be a curonian. With things like the iron wolf etc mixed in. Never forget your roots!
Would be amazing if you learned the language instead, tattoo is only for aesthetic but it is truly the language and traditions that honour the said roots of a culture.
@debaptisticrites seems a bit silly when no one around me speaks it. Learning a language I can't communicate to anyone with seems like a lot of work for no reward
Ne viskas matuojama pinigais ir nauda...
Language might be too much, but learning about our history is important. Your ancestors stopped the Christian crusades, almost deleted their faction, fought the mongolians, russians, Swedes, Austrians... and so much more things our ancestors did
that is so so beautiful, it means a lot! ❤
Beautiful to see European peoples throwing off the oppression of forced conversion and rediscovering our culture before Christianity wiped it out. May all people on Earth be free to practice their beliefs without compulsion in the spirit of loving humanity.
Christianity have wiped it out for ever, you won't see human sacrifice anytime soon
All over the world the 4 seasons of the big dipper, no?
