Both lists are great. It is funny that most of the songs are from many years ago. One of my favorite electric piano intros is One on One by Hall & Oates and London Town by Wings…not sure if they used a Rhodes.

My fave keyboard sound of the 1980s , with a chorus pedal Wurlitzer and Yamaha CP70 following right after. ❤️❤️❤️😚. SO many songs in the 70s and 80s used these keyboards it would be impossible to list them all!

I ❤️ The DX7. My dad bought one for me to support my band, (and it provided a keyboard for me to play at the church he Pastored). 😉 I created my own sounds in it. To enhance my sounds, I ran the DX7 through a Stereo Chorus pedal and then an FX Processor to add reverb and delay... multitap delay baby! I mounted those inside a speaker box, so I only had to plug into the box and then out to the PA...in Stereo! Less complicated than it sounds. Then I motified a piece of wood to mount on the DX7, then placed a Korg 707 keyboard on top and connected it via Midi to the DX7. Whenever I wanted the DX7 sound to Bite a little more I'd play those notes on the 707, it really made my FM Piano pop. (FYI The 707 was like a Keytar that I used to solo with, it had Mod and Pitch Bend wheels at the bottom). Well, thanks for the trip down memory lane. Now back to your normal programming. By the way, I still have my DX7. 🎹 - Thanks Dad! 💕

Very nice list. I kept listening for Riders on the Storm, thinking how could this not have made the list. I was surprised at all the Steely Dan/Donald Fagen songs, but I shouldn't have been--he's a great writer.

5:02 as a lifelong amateur drummer I approve this message. Once all the rhythms become one dance you rock it. Like learning to walk takes a coordination of like 200 muscles. But then you get it into me movement and all of a sudden you just express yourself.

I learnt Piano for 7 Year's all Classical from age 13 to age 20 just gone back to it at age 63 I am having SO MUUCH DIFFICULTY especially the bass clef not so much treble clef I always did I'm not very good at playing by ear even though I sign alto if that makes sense thankyou for your explanation at the end Pierre not one of my Teacher's explained it the way you did baci x

The thing about the DX7 away from the E piano is when you mixed it with an analog synth in the 80s it was revolutionary. It had the part that could cut through the mud and with some analog sounds they mixed real well

Okay it does get on your nerves and it is not as organic as a Rhodes or a Wurlitzer. But don't anti-up hate for it. It's true we got too much of it in the 80s But several people want them. I've got one standing up in the corner of my basement studio in plastic that's hardly ever touched LOL
