Imagine leaving your spouse for any reason other than being fornicated against and then thinking you aren’t living in sin. It’s as though these people never read Matthew 19 where Jesus specifically says the only permitted reason for divorce is being fornicated against and if you leave for any other reason you commit adultery. If you don’t repent and try to return to your marriage then you live in adultery. I thought this is why divorce is generally illegal in the Philippines due to its historically heavy Christian influence.
