Twice the mag capacity, and they give it a minus one for having to switch to the second magazine after getting a “click”
Thank you this was exactly what I was looking for.
This "going into battery" thing seems to be the main issue I'm having with my HP25A. I've had it for about a decade and never used it except for test firing twice. The slide has returned, feeding the next round after being fired, but after cleaning and "racking" to check reassembly, the slide catches on the hammer at the bottom of the firing pin rear plate and it's wearing that part of the hammer. This happens if the slide is moving slower than normal because I'm holding it while checking its movement. This video was posted almost a year ago. You have modified the Safety and posted how to do it. Have you done anything about the "going into battery" thing? Or has it worked itself out? I only noticed it after cleaning yesterday. I bought mine used from a pawn shop, so I have no idea how many rounds have been through it.
I picked one up recently just because the club I belong to decided to start having small bore 3-gun events. A .22 rifle and pistol with a .410 shotgun. And if you are using 3" shells, it starts to become a more effective self defense platform. You get 5 balls of 000 buck instead of 3. Of course, it cuts down on the magazine capacity a bit when using the longer shells. And if you someone of slighter stature, the recoil from the .410 loads isn't nearly as bad as 12 ga. That same gun in 12 ga. kicks like a mule.
How much the 1911 ejercito argentino
Excellent techniques with all the information needed for easy disassembly and reassembly!!! Reassembly is still a bit tricky for me, but I'm getting better. I haven't used my HP25A in over a decade and I remember what a PITA it was to disassemble, clean and reassemble last time, especially figuring out reassembly. It was long past time to clean it again, so I found your video. Thank you, Mr. Craig! I'll watch your HP22A video to see if I want to try to tackle the Safety modifications. (I performed the modifications. THANKS!) Can you help me, please? My slide is catching on the hammer when I bring the slide back slowly, like when testing a reassembly. When cocked, the hammer looks to be about the same height as yours, but it could be a little higher (and I think it must be). The hammer is catching on the bottom of the firing pin rear plate and wearing that part of the hammer. I think the slide would return OK after firing a round and load another round from the magazine, but the catching and wearing troubles me. Would you please make a video on repairing this? I took both Grip Panels off and checked for issues, but I don't really know what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance.
Finding a 0.05" Allen/Hex Driver is the catch. I have several driver sets Allen Wrenches and Hex Drivers, but none of them have a 0.05" Allen/Hex. 1/16" (0.0625") is my smallest. I watched out of interest, but I'll have to get one if I ever need to clean or replace the Firing Pin, Spring, etc. in my HP25A, which I'm sure is the same. Thanks, for later.
Thank you, Mr. Craig!!! Easy enough. Your guidance in preventing things from popping loose or out by holding the Safety Lever down is your warning from *Phoenix Arms HP25A Disassembly.* I'm so glad I found both. First, I cut a 1/2" length of a 1-1/2" x 16 Wire Brad nail for under the Magazine Spring. Then I put the Safety Lever in Safe and drew a line around the Magazine Release button with an Ultra Fine Tip Sharpie to show where to cut with a Dremel Cutoff disc. The Grip Panel still fits fine with the Wire Brad under the Magazine Spring. My search of your videos page for HP22A found several more videos of interest, so I'll search again for HP25A for things more specific to that one. I needed a Love This button for your videos. Thanks again, Sir.
@100vg Your very welcome, I am glad they have been helpful.
As a left handed shooter I was hesitant to get the LCP Max but your video just made me change my mind and I’m getting it 👍
CASING, NOT CARTRIDGE I USED TO OWN 2 OF THESE JAM-O-MATICS. .... JUNK
Speaking of pennies, you could actually shoot pennies from these toy guns, if you really wanted to get your point across. Ouch!
Never seen a 5.7 round get mangled like that and I own 5 different 5.7 platforms
If you put the mag. 3/4 of the way in you can move the safety
whatever you do, DO NOT PULL THE TRIGGER DURING TAKEDOWN
Errrr. Fail 🛑
I bought one of these new, nothing but jams. Cool idea, cheap gun, but wasn't worth the constant malfunctions.
I see the problem! He isn’t holding it correctly, turn it sideways my guy
@phillipamerson1672 you may be on to something, we will have to give it a try
so basically tec 9 shouldnt be anyones first gun
Or 2nd or 3rd really...
The last 10 seconds of this vid 😅
Still good equipment one year later?
@@AgoristsAxioms it is still my primary setup
@@CraigsGunChannel sweet! Ty for the response. I like to test my gear doing sprints in full battle rattle on some bumpy terrain. if I took a dive and it got bumped with hard ground, do you think the equipment would hold up, or likely break with a moderate amount of roughing up?
@AgoristsAxioms hmm, not sure on that one, direct ground impact may damage it, but I would say the same could be said for most comms gear realistically. If you are really going to need the extra durability margin, comtacs are still the way to go.
@@CraigsGunChannel Thank you Craig!
I am anxiously awaiting the comments from the king of hi point shills, KDS himself
Hahahahaha
I’m still amazed that people keep buying these pieces of crap. I have owned 2 995 carbines and both went click more than bang. I’d recommend a $150 knife instead or a Heritage Rough rider
@itsjustjoe3790 there's no question better options are available.
Still better than a SCCY
@@BartoniusAustinius lies! If you throw your HiPoint and miss the bad guy the Zamik (Chinesium) slide will break but your sky won’t break and you can throw that the bad guy again and again
Beautiful modular system on this gun, I’m highly interested in these rifles
Those groupings dont really say much because the target is moving all over the place
Any marring or scratches on the frame due to this product
What a pile, and worst design they should have at least designed the magazine into the pistol grip.
can you still buy these flares for the launcher?
Only if you find them in surplus such as in a show, etc.
I recently found this gun in my grandparents house in a checkbox LOADED. The bullets are so tiny and cute. I can totally get why my grandmother owned it.
Where is the follow up video??? You said it was a bad barrel so how about you do a follow up with the new barrel? If Taurus makes it right for you, and you don't do a follow up with the new barrel, you look like a bunch of goobers...
I was just watching "The Lincoln Lawyer" after Matt gets shot in the end by the woman the camera pans over slowly and shows a 6" woodsman with pearl grips ....who ever thought of this was for sure a "gun guy "
I was just watching "The Lincoln Lawyer" after Matt gets shot in the end by the woman the camera pans over slowly and shows a 6" woodsman with pearl grips ....who ever thought of this was for sure a "gun guy "
I accidently set a primer off while seating it, I hit the thing too hard, and it stung my fingers pretty good. I was using a lee loader to make a few rimmed .45 rounds.
ZERO description of the 605........necessary information was absent, hence the downthumb.
Thanks for the comment and for watching well, part of the video. At around 3:30 point the specs are on the screen....
@@CraigsGunChannel First downthumb I've ever given you, but I guess I'm just use to you providing the pertinent information first, so that I can THEN apply it to the 'on the range' portion. I STILL recommend your channel and share it, though I didn't share this one. Cheers from the Oil Patch in Central WY
Well. You popped up in my YT suggestions and guess what?? I have one (the 605 P.P.) in my pocket. I love it. In single action. Not so much in double action. But mine is 6 out of 10 in a two inch circle at 15 yds. Love the ergo's of it; very natural pointer. Lost the light pipe, but the hole in the front sight works great. I should add: that was with PMC 132gr. FMJ.
I have the tx22 standard and it’s a nail driver out the box…. Now my g2c is shooting almost 2 ft low and half food left…. Tweaked sights to max and still shoots low…. So I’m going to replace the sights and see if the g2c shoots any better…. But this maybe a Taurus glitch !
Gotta damn near soak the bullets in oil to keep it from jamming. Doesn't like other mags except the stock. This thing will stove pipe and fail to feed all the time.
you don't need that spring... just lock the pin forward and have a blast!
There's she blows! These should be modified for metal sharp disc❤
I want one
I got the one in the thumbnail it was my grandfather's and it's never been fired.
The mods shown here are a must. The HP22 and its instructions were created by California liability lawyers. My HP22 is more reliable with high speed ammo. The superfluous slide mounted safety can apply itself during firing. It can be kept in the fully up position with a drop of epoxy. Phoenix sells parts very reasonably. But it should be noted that improved aftermarket springs are available.
This is the worste pistol I've ever had. Ive never even shot it. It won't fire, it just clicks. It's also impossible impossible to unload without a clip in it. It seems very dangerous
Great video thanks
My new CZ 600 came with a 9/16 24 threaded barrel. Now I can't find a decent muzzle brake in that thread pattern. Most I see are 5/8 24. Schidt.
My dad has one of these. I didn't know it was suppose to be unreliable. It didn't seem to work any worse than the ammo you put in it, and back about 20 years ago seemed to perform as well as the Ruger 22 that we have in respect of jamming etc. Maybe ours was just good and we lucked out or something. Sadly, like the rifle mentioned, these two weapons were neglected, staying at my father's night stand for some time, and looking at them now, I wouldn't dare try to fire something out of them. Fun looking pistol though, wish I had the scope.
This is the perfect beginner home defense shotgun. I didn't expect you all to kind of crap on the gun at the end. It looked like you all enjoyed shooting it. It is very easy for anyone to handle. This is the smallest pump shotgun that is legal in all 50 states that you can purchase. I recommend this to anyone looking for a home defense shotgun.
My slide will not operate after a shot. Can't figure this out i have to eject each round manually. Mine is a 22 mag. Any help would be great . Thanks
Wow, the barrel incompatibility ruins the guns. An Ar-7 carbine would just be perfect with the little 8" barrel. The ATF bootlicking wasnt manditory but Charter Arms decided to do it anyways. Failure from the start.
That 12 gauge looks like a .22
It’s in 410ga
