V6 Tundra Timing Belt Job-Original belt at 325k??
In this video I put a new timing belt on this 2001 Toyota tundra with the 3.4 5VZ-FE V6. Not necessarily a howto, more for entertainment. Can’t believe it’s the original belt but no record of it being changed before and this one sure looked bad. Enjoy!

I realized I was too late with my advice, young man, I hope the best for you, the logic for you to learn is while a part may seem ok, if you have the opportunity to replace it it's best to replace it while you have the engine apart
I had 1990 Toyota truck with a 3L v6 that had the same or similar fan bearing, Toyota wanted way north of $400 to replace it, and that was back in 1996, my advice to you is delete that part and go with electric fans, also DO NOT CONTINUE with the old pump, sure as shit, soon after you put it back together, it will start leaking, then you have to do most of the job over again
I wouldn’t recommend doing what I did but I was in a rush
How do you start jet ski without the dress key in i have 1999 bombardier gtx I only get a a beep out when I press the start button

I’d go ahead and throw a water pump in it while it’s apart
I would have but I wasn’t equipped to have to potentially clean off old gasket material and the one I had didn’t seem like it would work since it had that oil cooler line that mine doesn’t have. If it gives me trouble I’ll make it work

Love these late 1990s and early 2000s vehicles including this, only bad side is they dont have cabin air filter to keep me away from sneezing

There should be a nut on the back of the clutch pedal so you can adjust it. Kinda a pain tho
I gave a Quick Look for it, couldn’t find it, thinking since it’s hydraulic it’s non adjustable
@@guygaric940 I adjusted my hydraulic clutch pedal on my Camry. Maybe it’s different for the corollas
@@rgskiing5070 I think it is but upon further diagnosis i've found it just needs a new clutch at some point lol. not too surprising since it was lady driven for 90k miles

I installed this exact same intake in my car. It doesn’t seem to do anything for power but it sounds good and looks good so that’s all I care.
You don’t think by just pulling transmission separately would have been the best choice? That seems like a lot of extra work pulling engine also.

That fuel efficiency is awesome. If only I knew how to do stick shifts and it wasn't scared to try, I'd so go for it. I'm sure it would be fun as heck once I got the hang of it. 4 hours or almost 4 on a half. Can't beat that.
Just toss some flex seal tape on the gas tank. It will probably be fine. :P

Exhaust work at home is a pita. Slicing the pipe with a sawzall or grinder and bending it works really well. Then you just weld the cuts
That tach cant be right ive never seen one with a 3 cylinder option so you must be reving lower than it reads

They were pretty bad😂 I went back and touched it up with the car on a lift and with a much better machine

I believe those have a 2 inch but you’d have to Google it and I welded mine myself so not sure what a shop would charge
