    I call bs. Sorry, with respect, I call this out. I have counted calories and can not lose any further. I keto dieted from 265 4 months ago to 245 now. I'm ready to ditch this stupid dieting trash and just eat what I want. I end up a fat ass, blame genetics or God.

    Your body requires energy to live we know this right? So if we need energy to live and let's say you're not eating a damn thing for a week straight where in the holy hell do you think that energy that your body is using to keep you alive is coming from? If we need energy to survive and you're not consuming any energy where do you think it's coming from? We have the biggest brains on the planet yet people choose not to use them and it's infuriating.

    But that's also not how thermodynamics work. Your body can become acclimated to a 1000 calories to try to hold any fat that it can until you're able to find more food but that doesn't mean that you won't lose weight. I like to think of things taking it to the extreme such as Holocaust victims do you think they weren't losing weight because their body became magically "acclimated" of course not they were skin and bone because whatever they were eating if anything was simply not enough to keep their bodies running so it looked to other sources their fat stores and muscles. There is not a single person on Earth who is exempt from the law of thermodynamics.

    Starvation mood or adaptation mood is just a myth. Try not to eat anything at all for 30 days and let’s see how your body adapts to that and if it really stops you from losing weight. This person is just counting their calories wrong and probably eats more than they should.

      It's so baffling that people think that people from the Holocaust didn't lose weight because of some stupid hormones. Those people starved and starved and starved until they couldn't no more and they died. Starvation mode is the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life that's.. oh my God.

    Diet advice: not losing weight? You're eating too much Also diet advice: not losing weight? You're not eating enough. Almost like it's never been that simple. Your body changes how it treats food based on myriad factors, and some people who're obese just have a less efficient metabolism. My body has a preference to store energy, you know what that means? I can eat the same as you and I put on weight and have little readily available energy to move more, while your body says here's a bunch of energy keeping you alert and active all day. And for some people if you reduce calories their body quickly burns up some fat to make up the difference so they may feel hungry but otherwise are fine. Whereas some bodies just don't want to dip into those fat reserves, so if you have a calorie deficit you just get even more tired and low energy.

      Sorry buddy that's not how things works in the real world. You cannot eat a thousand calories and gain weight unless you are a tiny child who requires less energy. Use your brain if your body requires energy to live which you know that to be true I hope so and you are eating nothing where do you think those calories are coming from where do you think that energy is coming from? Sure you can eat just as much as everyone else not to burn a single bit of those calories and gain weight because that's how thermodynamics work. But there's no way on planet Earth that you can simply not eat and not lose weight it doesn't work like that

    Stupid people keep pushing this stupid "Calorie Deficit" myth. This is why Obesity is STILL a problem, its not "over consuming energy", because Energy has NO WEIGHT MORONS! If I have two Identical sealed containers of Water, one is boiling and one is not. I remove the heat, the boiling water container has more "Calories" of heat, but when it cools, it holds the same calories as the cool water container ! How can the two weigh the same yet hold different calories ?! Because weight and calories ARE NOT INTERCONNECTED.

      Yeah buddy you can spend every second of the rest of your life trying to disprove the law of thermodynamics it's not going to work I can tell you right now it's not going to work. If calorie deficits don't make you lose weight then how did the people in the Holocaust starve to death? Why were they all skin and bone because they were eating a healthy amount of calories? No they weren't consuming any calories at all so guess what happened lost so much weight that they died from it. Use your brain don't be a dumbass.

    Well, I appreciate the experimentation; I also believe the decisions you made 2 to 4 weeks ago (consistently) will mostly inform your actual body composition; while the decisions you make in immediate prior days will have the biggest impact on how you feel (tired, energy, mood, anxiety, cravings, etc). I’m with the commentor above, interested to see how this would play out overtime when your body learns that this is going to be your new norm.

    6 days a week I eat 500 calories under my BMR. 1 day a week I eat literally any and everything I want. Theoretically undoing all the hard work from the previous week. But I’ve lost almost 2 stone in 2 months. It’s almost like my body doesn’t recognise that 1 day a week when I eat what ever I want. I’m no expert, but I assume this resets my metabolism to work overdrive, and then continues in overdrive when I’m in a deficit.

    I'm sorry but the people in Ethiopia would disagree. If you're only eating 1200 calories a day and not losing weight you are in fact not eating 1200 calories a day. Get a freaking scale and weigh your food And make sure you were strength training.

    Anyone who isn't losing weight at eating 1200 calories isn't actually only eating 1200 calories.. Statistically speaking, people eat more calories then what they are aware of. They *THINK* there eating 1200 calories but the number is usually much higher..
