Do you recall when did 6 and 7 car trains stop displaying the "Board Center" announcement on the platform signs? Just got a lil curious about it since 6 cars has been the norm for almost a year now. About the video, I'm betting this video was taken towards the late 2022 to early-mid 2023 just by looking at how new/clean 3186 and those 4200's look.
Last BOARD CENTER DSU signage I saw was in 2022 with the 5 car trains running on the Richmond line. Didn't see any such signs back in September 2023 right before the retirement of the old cars from scheduled service. Yes, late 2022. Get those clean high 3200s, the 3300s, and high 4400s while you can today.

I love these announcements, and how come the “PRRRR San Mateo Elevator Out Of Service” is louder than “Attention Train Approaching” and do they use the Tom voice for these announcements he sounds identical to the EAS voice

1872 apparently
The trucks were regularly swapped for maintenance cycles, so it’s been on dozens of cars. But no word on the last car it was on. The retaining ring and cap on the axle (#1872) came later - I noticed they were missing on the truck once it arrived at WRM. I requested and got to pull a complete set from the scrap bin, the day they were decommissioning a B car, which happened to be 1872.

I like all the cars. I had some favorites for personal and historical reasons (such as the Fremont Flyer)

I remembered the final ride from April and it's so sad to realize they're gone now I rode a Legacy fleet train one year ago today

Since after the C1 Cars the fleet of the futures were out forced on the yellow lines and blue line
I miss the legacy fleet already and it’s too bad I didn’t get to say my final goodbye to the legacy train last month. 🙁
