I Have Never Been a Woman (FTM)
Thank you for taking the time to watch this video! I am hoping to explain why some trans individuals do not really respond to insults like "you will always be a woman" simply because they have, in fact, not experienced womanhood. Obviously, if you came out after having been seen by society as a woman, this does not make your experience any less valid!

    I agree with you. Looks like toxic academics are everywhere. Police academics said valuable things, but tend strongly to arrogance. A lot of academic people must understand the difference between pop culture and academic "knowledge". Marvel's Thor is a Pikachu-like electromancer, but the Thor of the myths is not, it was an enchantment on the weapon. But if somebody likes Marvel's Thor, nice! maybe they will be a future scandinavian academic expert, thanks to the pop culture bait! And when the person attracted by pop culture advances in their studies, eventually they will understand three things: 1. The academic things we study was, in their time, pop culture, and changed a lot depending on circumstances, and truth about nothing is hard enough. Egyptian Seth, for example, was a dark but acceptable god at first, but in some areas, and since some moments, it was transformed in an evil god, and his cult was not acceptable. 2. We can't know perfectly how things was in the distant past, because of sources problems, ergo, everything is theory. 3. That's why a lot of old and recognized academics say they don't know "nothing" about their area: the more you study it, the more you see it, the more plot holes and foggy stuff you see, then, in consequence, humblity is the best way. This remembers me a song by Dimmu Borgir, Interdimensional Summit: "...the more you see, the less it makes sense..." Whatever. Good luck, nice man. People needs more tolerant people like you.

      @@bregnevakker5404 You are so right! Sometimes it is pop culture that gets people into academia, because they want to understand what they like on a deeper level and that’s great. On the other hand, academics should understand and accept that not everyone WANTS to have a deep understanding of their field of study. Not everyone who watches Marvel cares who Thor “really” was, and like you said, we don’t know anything for sure anyway, it’s just myths and interpretations of them. So it’s nice to know what exactly it is that you are interested in, but for people to go around saying “I hate this and you cannot possibly like this because it’s from the wrong time period” is a bit much 😅

    We almost lived in a world where a woman could do everything a man could and be considered no less a woman and vice versa. That used to be what was empowering. Now people use any eccentricity they have to mean they’re of a different gender. Now because a woman has “male interests” she joins males instead of adding to all the unique ways there are to be a woman. Consider that you are fortifying the gender stereotypes by using them to define you. Consider that what you’re mistaking for gender is just your personality which makes you more unique as a woman than as a man. Consider that you can be yourself completely and would be much happier without tampering with your natural body chemistry in a healthy functioning fertile body. Renormalize tomboys and lesbians. I wish you peace.

      You look like a troll, or a feminist... but I will try to talk to you assuming you are a decent person. I "agree" with you with some of the the stereotypical thing about feminity and masculinity. But just at first. Because you have a hard stereotype in the foundation of your concept of a woman, because: what is a woman? can you define it without stereotypes? I challenge you. Rethorically, of course, because I know you can't. Actually you can't said a "woman" has "male interests" without having a basis for what is a "woman" and what is a "male interest", then, you have a hard stereotype about what is a man and what is a woman! Believe to me; thing are always more complicated than they look. For me, the solution to that puzzle is that you are a mind, and you have an avatar with a base sex: male (XY), female (XX), hermaphrodite (XXY). When you grow, thanks to technology, if you don't feel identificated enough with your base body features, you can change your avatar if you want (or need, if you body causes you serious gender disphoria). What is a man? What is a woman? It is two things: the biological sex of the base body, AND the gender identity; you can change your body to match your identity. Personally I don't like the discussion with the phrase "You will never be a man/woman", because, first, I'm genderfluid, from here it looks like some people pretends to know who I am better than myself, and two, it's always rooted on the distinction/confusion about gender and sex that wokes have made in their "academic" ideas: sometimes they said it's different, but other times they talk as if they are the same. No. For me, biological base is not changeable for now, but you can force your body to work like the other sex, making it masculine or feminine enough to reclaim the label socially (but not medically, and that's not bad). And Identity is a very personal thing that only the person can said: each one of us, probably, has different ideas about everything, but the main right is that all of us are persons, and have right to feel as we feel, not depending on others opinions about how we must. I will give you a serious counsel: you don't need to control the identity nor the body of people. If you find things that make you happy with yourself, you will see how you will feel less need of submit others.

Also I am concerned about the rights of ppl to adhere to their sexuality: ie: lesbians are same sex attracted women, not men who claim a special identity. The other point I like to make about the question, "Why do you care?" is the subtext is that the questioner doesn't care about other ppls bodies when in fact, rather than leave them alone which is the most natural and healthy path for both us and nature, they advocate vehemently for practices which I think are completely barbaric and cruel. And also cats act differently depending on their gender and just because words that differentiate animals by gender have fallen out of use dosen't mean that males and females of a speciese aren't differen't to the point that we assinged them different names, It's probably just that people no longer use these words in their day to day life. And as a final point men and women act different socialy so obviously there would be a destinction between them both in terms of sex and in terms of social behaviour, as this is also the case in other animals and is the reason we have different names for them.

      @@queerpagan Yes, really. A woman is not a social construct; it's a biological reality. As the term "woman" refers to an adult female human, if you want to be technical you can say that someone cannot be born a woman by virtue of the "adult" part of the definition, but this is just playing word games. A woman is what you are going to get if a human female survives to adulthood; if a man subsequently wants to be a woman he can't be; he can be a man presenting as a woman, and he might do a good job of that, but it is ultimately still a presentation. The same goes for if you are a woman who wants to be a man; you can take all the hormones you like, but you will still be in a different ontological category from a biological man; you needed to resort to medical intervention to achieve what would normally have developed naturally for a man, and you will always be genetically a woman. You are not going to be gaining a Y chromosome, and if you stop taking your testosterone you will not suddenly produce it biologically. You are not a male of the species; you a female who wishes to be a male. It's not that there's anything necessarily wrong or immoral with this, but it is simply factually incorrect to say you are in the same category as a man. It is also factually incorrect to try to treat "gender" and "sex" as referring to different things when it comes to humans.

      @llegando-al-umbral Před 2 dny

      I think I understand what your question is aiming at, I'll answer assuming you asked out of genuine curiosity. No, cis people who identify as such only because of how they were born, rather than an "inner feeling", do not invalidate the existence or validity of trans people. I know a lot of people out there feel this imperative need for one theory to be true: Either a person's gender is how they feel on the inside, or it's not. I am of the belief that there isn't one single truth to anything in life, so I don't care if a person calls themselves cis even if they *technically* may fit the definition of agender better. I also believe it's not inherently transphobic for someone to say "I'm a woman because I have a vag". That person could merely be describing their OWN lived experience of womanhood and how they relate to it. It only becomes transphobic when the person goes on to say that this applies to EVERYONE else. Now, I suppose it is true that all of what I wrote here is just MY opinion, which may not be the most satisfactory answer, I'm sorry about that. But I suppose I wanted to contribute my two cents. Trans and non binary people such as myself come with all sorts of different opinions, which I also believe is important to emphasize. We're not a hivemind and shouldn't be treated as one (not accusing you of this, btw, you're cool).

    • @nimexwolf
      @nimexwolf Před 2 dny

      @@queerpagan I think I could clarify that a bit. "Cis" people who see sex and gender as synonyms and say "I don't identify as a X, I just am an X" are very closely mimicking agender ideas and use a different system to identify entirely. Identifying with your sex is very different from identifying as the corresponding gender and accepting that sex is not the same as gender. Does that make sense? If you call somebody "cis" but they don't identify with a gender identity but identify based on a different rule set from yours, such as "sex = gender and I identify as my sex and don't see gender" then they are effectively not cis, because they are not viewing the world through the lens you view it in, and cis is an invalid way to reference them in that regard. Cis can only make sense when somebody has a distinct gender identity that aligns with their sex, and they see sex and gender as different things.

A woman is a human female, man is human male. It means the same thing as sex , but just woman and male are the HUMAN terms for male and female, like heffer and bull are terms for cows, so on. A 12 year old female would be a GIRL. The feelings you have about the word woman are probably based on how you dislike expectations and gender roles and norms put on women. @queerpagan Před 3 dny

      @scattered-idea Unfortunately, feeling distress about being a woman does seem to be pretty normalized. Obviously this does not immediately make you trans, it's just that women are heavily discriminated against, to a degree where I fully understand not feeling comfortable with being seen that way for those reasons. On the other hand it is nowhere near the only reason for "not liking being a woman". I have never related to girls, and never had the same dreams about the future as they did. I hoped I would grow up to be a boy, but I didn't. I thought everyone felt that way, until Iearned what being trans meant. This reasoning is why trans people have to, and honestly should, go through extensive therapy before they are allowed to medically transition. To be absolutely sure there are no other underlying issues that might cause a discomfort with your body/sex, such as trauma. I did not have any other reason, therefore it was concluded that I am in fact trans and got the diagnosis of gender dysphoria at 15 (I came out at 13). I hope this makes it a bit clearer :)

    You are a woman and you'll always be a woman. Nothing can and will ever change that. I have sympathy for your condition and wish for you to live a happy life. But you cannot redefine something that is impossible to redefine. It is a fact and an objective truth that you are a woman.

      Because we like it. I personally didn't really enjoy how my hair accentuated my forehead shape, and I didn't like the sensation of hair falling over my ears, so that's why I got a mullet XD

She'll always be a woman and nothing will ever change that, even if she can fool people in the streets. Just because she's delusional doesn't mean everyone around her has to be. I feel sorry for such people, they need help but instead of helping them, they are being encouraged to continue falling into the rabbit hole, damaging themselves and their surroundings. It's even worse when it affects children.

    I think the definition of woman or man the people you refer to are going by is a chromosome based one.. like even if you present yourself a certain way your primary sex characteristics belong to a certain sex, in your case female. Maybe a better way to make your point is that you’ve never experienced being perceived as an adult female because you started presenting as male before reaching a certain age.

    • @queerpagan
      @queerpagan Před 3 dny

      @@angeninetytwo that’s… what I said? Woman ≠ female and sex ≠ gender. I am not implying that I have never been female, I am implying that I have never been a woman, which is the social identity a person born female gets assigned at a certain age.

    Yeah bro, and no one is saying you aren't a man bc of your agab, we are saying you act like a girl and need to lift maybe and work on your small energy. You have such an insecure small demeanor to you, and men only get respect by having a male grace which you don't... What is the point of transitioning to be male only to be very feminine in everything you do, and at best, a feminine male who people do not respect as a strong man. You literally look 17, you don't seem like an adult male is the issue lol and no one takes kids seriously. Idk why you don't get how feminine you are. Also rly funny lol you totally are very feminine in your first videos... God, cope cope cope cope cope. You literally have no big dick energy; you have no drip, no swag, as a man. You're a lesbian. Literally look at your bed - lol imagine if a woman goes to an adult man's house and sees stuffed animals like that on his bed? Maybe you're a man but you're a freakin man child and that shit is creepy for any man lol.

      Wow, that's a lot of insecurity you're projecting. Talk about lacking grace and self-awareness. What's wrong with toys? I'm a man and I have a shelf of plushes from various games I've played over the years, Hades, Path of Exile, Warcraft. Nothing girly or creepy about it, people can like what they like. Your comment is what's giving real creep energy here, I can't imagine speaking like that to anyone, let alone a stranger, and based entirely on their identity. Absolutely cringe take. I'd be embarrassed just to have opinions like that, but spewing them at someone to try and get a rise out of them? Gross. Keep it to yourself next time.

      I'm sorry you feel like being emotionless, rough and... old? are the criteria for being a man to you. It does not have to be that way. Obviously the older I get and the longer I take testosterone, the more traditionally manly I will look. Transitioning does not happen overnight.

      QueerPagan looks plenty masculine to me. Has more facial hair than my dad. But even if he liked wearing makeup and dresses, gender identity and gender expression are going to look different for everyone. Just because you're insecure and worry that if you're not ripped enough, strong enough, or have enough facial hair that you're not a man enough man (that's called fragile masculinity), doesn't mean that's how being a man works. Sounds like YOU need to cope because a trans guy feels confident in his gender just by existing while you're all butthurt because you need to be the buffest guy in the room to feel deserving of the title "man". But back to my other point, just like how, for example, a girl who's a tomboy and likes cars and wearing loose clothing is still valid as a woman, a man who likes to sew and garden and wear eyeliner is still a valid man. Trans or not. I know that on it's own is a probably hard concept for you considering the middle school insult spree you just went on because you saw a man with a dinosaur in his room, but try to for once stop putting people down and maybe just listen to the person in the video YOU clicked on for five seconds? And also, I'm an adult cis female and my boyfriend is an adult cis male and both of us love stuffed animals and have way more than QueerPagan on our beds. And my boyfriend is more of a man than you'll ever be. cheers
