A lock on the Sweden's famous Göta kanal. I was simply riding a bicycle by the canal when I witnessed this lock in action. It is partially automated - it is guarded and operated by one man but they have electric and remote controls to open and close the doors of the lock.

July 29, 2015. Our memorable jungfraubahn journey cannot be summarized without this hilarious event. The cows were simply chilling on the tracks. @tonygertsch1705 spotted them well in advance, and I believe it's his daily business to hush the cows out of the way. Such events make good memories 😁.

'Swedish Winters' is a section where I display the glimpses of Swedish winters e.g. common sights . I recorded this video from the top of a diving platform. The lake was completely frozen for weeks, and the Swedes had commenced their recreational activities over the frozen lake e.g. fishing, skiing, walking, running, walking their dogs.

what steam engine is it?
I couldn't find the technical specifications but following is the (translated) information about this engine(built in 1905): Motala workshop built Virå and the non-preserved sister locomotive Stafsjö in 1901 for the Stafsjö Railway. In 1919, Virå was sold to Björkåsen's mines in Northern Norway, where it was used until the 1950s. In 1965 it was taken over by ÖSlJ. In 1939 the locomotive received a new steam boiler and after a thorough refurbishment it was put into service at ÖSlJ in 1967. It has since undergone a series of minor revisions. Problems with the fire box led to a new one being ordered from an English manufacturer. In the spring of 2014, Virå was put back into traffic.
