Oy, I’m an adopted child.. well adult now, I’m 39. Any “generational curses” are from my adopted family, not my birth family. Nuture vs nature is a real thing. All I feel from my birth family is love and kindness and also inclusion. In my adopted family however, I’m the “black sheep”. Has nothing to do with my bio family, simply refuse to conform to how they view I should be according to my adoptive family. And my daughter is the same as me. We aren’t horrible people, we literally don’t think we need to be on our best behavior every second of every day and that equals “black sheep”. I allow myself to have piercings, tattoos, color my hair fun colors (it’s incredibly helpful with my depression which is bio family but NOT A GENERATIONAL CURSE). I’m fighting curses from my adoptive family vs bio. It’s trippy and family is slowly disappearing from my life because of it and you know what, I’m perfectly fine with it. Can’t hang with the real me? The sweet, compassionate, empathetic, loving person I am just isn’t enough for them and that’s ok. But again, adoption does not equal 🟰 dealing with generational curses. Family determines it more than anything

I never liked how they got shunned by the ppl everywhere! I think that said the truth and brought light to where there was darkness!! They said Amish were doing nasty crap with animals…. that disgusting crap is going on all over the world! Reject the whole family curses…good grief. God is bigger than any “familiar curses” if thats even a thing. My husband and I have adopted 6 kids….all image bearers of God. It’s up to God to determine the paths of men…..terrible to say that about adopting kids…..

Robyn chose to make that speech on national tv. If it was about the kids, she would've talked to the kids outside of filming. Everything Robyn does is calculated and in HER best interest. How often was their home church filmed? One of the kids was refusing to attend their church service because it was being filmed, so I'm guessing filming church wasn't a regular occurrence.

Robyn's purity story was full of lies. Preston was dating Robyn's sister Fawn. Robyn wanted Preston. Robyn seduced Preston away from her sister. Robyn got pregnant so Preston would marry her. Robyn plots, manipulates, steals and abuses then destroys.

Robyn's purity speech was horrible!! Didn't you see how Christine was shaking her head all the time? IF the man who "stole her purity" was his ex-husband, she is talking abou the BIGGEST mistake in her life. What was the result? It was DAYTON. Just think of Dayton + the two girls, sitting there and thinking, so oh, we are the biggest mistake my mom made. Robyn's speech might have made sense in a setting where NOBODY knows her children. I wonder why you liked it. I haven't read or heard a positive comment on that "speech" ever before. You really missed the key point here: degrading and embarassing her son and the girls too.
