Those rectangular parachutes are pretty maneuverable. By pulling on some of the cords your weight can be redistributed across the chute. Besides turning the chute it can also change it's lift profile. A really good landing can be as gentle as walking off an escalator. The round parachutes from WWII movies, not so much speed control.

In my Wisconsin town, energy drinks + alcohol are very popular. Too popular. The downtown police have to deal with drunken college students wandering around on the streets, totally oblivious to where they are, and headed towards the Mississippi River, which is just a few blocks away. The young adults are all revved up on the sugar and caffeine, but they're also severely drunk, so they're like zombies walking about....with some of them going right into a watery grave.

Back in my youth, I was a qualified military jumper. Static line, freefall, and HALO. At my most thrill seeking, I think I would have put this into the hard pass category. Watching the live broadcast of this event was absolutely mesmerizing.

Ive watched this 50 times atleast. I have 7211 skydives the highest jump ive had was 33,000 feet this guy jumping with no air pressure it blows me away thinking about that. Just how much sky diving has changed in the last 20yrs my mom an dad ran a skydiving school i had my first free fall jump at 14yrs old been doing it for 21yrs my family has an affiliation with the air port were all pilots have several planes my wife is closing in on 6000 jumps. winged suits brought skydiving to a whole new era. We love your channel we never know what were going to get have an awesome day 😊

I don't like Red Bull but love their cliff divers (Ginni!) along with the other extreme sports they use for promotions.
