      Heya! I use a 7.4v Titan Power Li-ion battery. Highly recommend it. Reliable, safe, consistent and high performance. Occasionally you'll see someone say something about C value being too low and its a deal breaker. Just ignore them its nonsense. Even had professional techs tell me some of my Rifles the titans won't even be able to run. In reality they outperform my Lipo batteries every time. I had my rifle modded to deans connector from the start which you'll need whatever battery you go with other than the TM stock one that no one uses.

      Hi TH! Yes it has an Eagle6 spring to take the fps up to around 340 (it's 290 stock), it has a Spectre2 mosfet, and it has been wired to deans. These are pretty light upgrades, and I'm not sure I'd recommend anything more. It's probably had 5-10k round through it now and the performance couldn't be better.

      @@puffinairsoft6539 Thanks for the reply! Just bought a stock one and wanting to upgrade it, have you changed the motor at all or are you happy with the stock one?

    • @puffinairsoft6539

      @@tomoshughes123 No need to change the motor, it will only be worse off if you do. In fact I'd recommend against changing anything until you've had at least 5k rounds through it. A mosfet and wiring to deans will give you a tiny bit more flexibility, and no harm in putting a 350fps spring into it if you do that at the same time. However, performance (range and accuracy) gain over stock is marginal to none, and bedding in the rifle has a far bigger effect. My stock AK Storm at 290fps has virtually equal performance, and any difference appears to be from the 416 bedding in as i use it more often. To be clear, the reason you'll see no improvement in performance is that these rifles already have the best possible performance once they've been used a bit. I recommend finding the best BBs, some brands perform poorly, and you need to select the right weight. I run 0.32g in the 416 and 0.28g or 0.30g in the stock AK storm. Ensure the barrel is clean. Get the hop set right (a scope cam helps). Soon you, and everyone else, will be constantly impressed at theresult ;)

    Just ran into your videos! I'm seriously looking into getting a TM AK Storm myself as an indoor gun! Can you spare a short summary of a review on how you like it?

    • @puffinairsoft6539
      @puffinairsoft6539 Před 3 lety

      Sorry for not replying. Do you mean a video review? Haven't had time for airsoft recently so not uploaded for a bit. I love the bolt stop and recoil. It's pretty light, compact, looks good. It can scratch a bit, but most guns do over time, and it still looks great. Performance is as good as anything I've run (out of about 25 guns from cheap up to £2000k upgraded beasts). It's my favourite gun. Downsides, the TM mags are pricy and only carry 90 rounds (my TM 416 can take PTS 120 round mags), but it's not a major issue. Picatinny mounting points are more limited than on your typical M4, but if you just want a simple red dot and maybe a scope cam it's no problem. I can't run my Titan Power batteries as there isn't enough room, so reluctantly I use a Vapex lipo, which works great, but I'd prefer the Titan Li-ions.

      Perfidious Puffin just got one and i love that AK Storm .Everything great just not satisfied with 300 FPS 😞. Out of the box Should make it 350-400 FPS for outdoor field 50fps make alot different

      @@albertwidiantoify Trust Perfidious Puffin on this one mate. You really don't need that extra power behind the bb. When the hop and barrel work together perfectly then just play with a bit heavier bb's. Like a 0.32. Think dat is aprox the max you will want to go with the fps. If you really want to bump up the fps, just stick in a new spring. But you have to know that Cylinder volume has a bigger impact on the amount of air leaving the barrel then the strenght of your spring. Looking forward to own my own AK storm. Always loved TM replica's.

      @@stardust3187 This. Although I think 0.28g is probably the max for stock AK Storm. Haven't tested scientifically though. 0.32g I use in a 350fps TM 416, and I'd say I prefer the stock Storm with 0.25g which is what I ran here.

    • @stardust3187

      @@puffinairsoft6539 well i have tested the storm, 416 and the sopmod they all preform roughly the same. With the worst pref with wind on 0.2g and the best on 0.32g but the hop woudn't hop anything more younjust losses range at that point. The sweetspot on range and speed with groupings that are great was a 0.30g bb. But i can't tell you any specifics cuz i don't own a long range without wind. But if you play woodland there will always be wind. Max range with stock storm and fps with all shots hotting my torso was 47meter. With the spring its 53meter. But you can hot max ranged targets, wat i could hit anyway, 50% of the time at about 65 meter. Anything beyond that id just pushing your luck. To be fair i do play verry agressive in woodland so further then 50meter is practicaly non excictent for me. Cheerz
