Great video! My great grandfather was a LCpl in North Africa He was in the 120/30 Light AA Regiment Royal artillery 8th army and served as a dispatch rider riding through the thick of battle I’m pretty sure, he was at Second Battle of El Alamein went on to fight up in Italy and was wounded in 44’ after the war he transferred to the Air Force Reserve and finally discharged in 1948 so I’ve got some ties to this sort of stuff!

Just a few points... Your rations are the wrong type for Normandy, these are post Normandy invasion. Grenades would be in rigger pouches not bashing together in a pocket. 60 cigarettes and then the packs of 4 in each of your K rations... also Luckies were seldom seen, especially those giant packs of 20! Colt .45 in your pocket is ludicrous, let alone you wouldn't have even had one. Why on earth would you have a second Carlisle tin? Shaving kit goes in musette bag as specified in the kit lists. Shaving mirror to look for enemy... stop taking history for films like SPR Ear defenders! "a little knife for hand to hand combat"... the M2 throat knife is to free yourself if you need to extract yourself from the chute in emergency The bible is a nice touch however.
