And he played Danny boy! I’m crying
My dream is to own a piano that sounds like this. 🙏
Hello. What tune you're playing?
Fascinating video!🙂🍃
Could show graciousness from your profession by fixing the damage caused by DIY moving, for a family that has given to their community musically.
Amazing
Give that young man a pat on the back on camera!
Inspired by the quality of your work! Thank you, Brigham. Please consider doing a step-by-step interior restoration of an old upright.
As a fellow introvert, I concur with your take.
Thrilling. What a beautiful instrument!
I watch your videos and really enjoy your comments as well as the way you showcase and describe the pianos that you feature. So glad you’re sharing! Thanks!!
Your recording is terrible........ LOL
Can I learn the reason why you use a drill driver instead of an impact driver??
Very impressive! Beautiful restoration of a quality instrument.
Nice to hear some of the Boesendorfer influence in it. Kimball owned Boesendorfer at that time from what I remember hearing, and this Viennese Classic model was made in USA but supposed to be influenced by Boesendorfer. I think the bridge is laminated, which Boesendorfer’s is not and I have been skeptical and never really heard the Boesendorfer in them till this recording.
Art nouveau style elements
If you move ANY instrument from a normal place, to Pennsylvania, you’re screwed. None of my guitars have been OK since.
I love knowing that this is going on! Bringing these pianos back with all their history 👏
Maybe install some handles sounds like you’d be like pallbearers on that one. ⚰️. Would be interesting to know more details about that past. (Don’t want the mob coming after you today for restoring it 😳) From the side of having a historical role it’s a strong story but I could imagine other compelling merits to applicants, such as more engagement with the piano’s technology, brand, condition or industry, as well as more concrete or meritous engagement with music-making. (For example it may be worth mentioning that no one plays a piano in this video . . . )
You play beautiful, beautiful piano too!
I'm from South Louisiana. Your playing is very New Orleans. Love it!
Magnificent!
What were some of the other piano stories you have received?
Well done. Quite a story. "The past isn't dead, it's not even past" - L. Scott Fitzgerald. Terrific antique upright grand piano. Iconic American pianos and era. Thanks all.
That blow determines after touch approach is making my day. I'm working on an early teens Kranich & Bach. The most blow I can achieve so far is around 1-7/16 instead of the rule-of-thumb 1-3/4". So, maybe I am ok like that.
keep the beckets equal
When you go to work on the pin block, could you do a short video about the refurbishment process for it? That block look fairly worn out. To know the circumstances that brought that beautiful piano to SLC. What brought it to the States and ultimately Utah?
I’m curious to know more about what looks like the pinblock? It looks cracked, and the pin holes look covered in some sort of goop…
“The company recommends a/our permanent display, in the main store, of more than 100 pieces, various new and refurbished grands, stuetzfluegelfortepianos, ladies little pianos, harmoniums, which are all for sale as well as available for rental use, for low prices.” (Main store = Vienna) Sounds basically like it was a 19th century BLP - now Salt Lake City just needs a Mozart (probably already has a few . . . 🤔) and Sachertorte 🍰🍫☕️
#1 on my wish list!!!
I love the model BB, nice work! I hope you can get some money out of it. I, as a fellow rebuilder, find them hard to sell. I just don't get it.
This video has aged extremely well!
Wow my eyes and eyebrows went up real high! Cool mod!
I have a similar player mechanism in my Griffith upright from Newark, New Jersey. How it got to southern California is anyone's guess. But a coworker from the 1980s (she's now nearly 90) told me her friend spent a small fortune on refurbishing this piano, and wanted it to have a good home. A trusted friend, I paid to bring it down here from northern California. Whoever did the restoration must've had vision problems, dizziness, and not all their fingers, because it wasn't as good as this one you're showing. It's all there, but hardly playable. Hope I can get it to you before our four year old is piano lesson age.

My mom has a 100 plus Story and Clark. Cherry wood. Nice bench using horse hairs. It is beautiful and sounds great
Is this the largest grand they make?
Hi, thank you for watching our video! The largest grand is Hailun VG-278 9’1” Concert Grand! Here is a video czcams.com/video/0w1fL7eAlWA/video.htmlsi=NcZtEWB9CHkI5mMU Please email us at info@BrighamLarsonPianos.com for more information. Thanks!
My uncle used to put tacks in the hammers to create a unique sound
I believe I found a 1905-06 upright piano.
wow, that is so fascinating! Thank you for sharing.
Honky tonk piano
Sounds like a Harpsichord with that Banjo bar.
On a grand you can put wooden pencils on the strings to get the same or better effect!!!
When voicing Japanese piano you need way more stitches starting lower on hammer. Also a good idea to pre voice before you reshape. Same way that steinway hamburg teaches.
First time hearing of this thing. I want one on mine when I have you redo it. 👍🏻😃
We have the same model in our home. The serial number is 972364P. Can you tell me anything about it? Thanks!
If this video doesn’t get a million views with that thumbnail, I will refuse to fight for the USA in any war.
