Hi Mark. You have probably sorted it before I commented. Try putting the spare wheel on the rear. It is smaller in size, and will clear the wheel arch. So it can be moved. 🤷‍♂🤷‍♂

Nice one mate, good to do something different. And half a tank of petrol, can't be bad.

Surely obtaining parts will be a huge issue for that. Very rare car these days.

I think you’ll find the 1.5 petrol engine in the A class is chain driven Mark, by design should last the life time of the vehicle. So that is a bonus. The damage at the rear looks really strange, the near side back wheel appears to have been pushed from the rear and in from the side? Will be interesting to see more once you get it on the lift. Nothing seems to worry you too much these days, you certainly have no end of confidence!! Looking forward to the next instalment. 😊

Invest in some dollies put them under the wheels and you can move the cat anywhere. I have some and use them regularly not just for cars.

They gave it you for persistence! Well done it was obviously meant to be. Just avoid any Elks though Mark! We had a semi automatic when I worked at Avis on fleet which was weird. Easy Rentacar had all A-class on their fleet many years ago too

Think anything on engine is engine out to do.

Use a skateboard temporarily till you can afford the real thing good selection with it being automatic

On a front wheel drive car, you could use metal biscuit tin lids under the rear wheels to drive the car and move it around

22:54 I don't get it. Why don't you just move crankshaft against the blocking bolt, loosen the camshaft pulleys, readjust the camshaft so the plate can get it, and then tighten the camshaft pulleys? All should be in place then. (you don't need to take off the belt)

So what was the issue? After placing the new timing belt the car need to work for some while to get adopted to the new belt? Why is that?

The 2023 was due in December but done in January 2024 so all services done annually . Looks like a quick flip,

Why dont you ring the dealer who's been servicing the car and ask them if the cam belts been done?

Hello Mark, what a great car for a project,i dont thnink this has the wetbelt like the petrol version.its got better things mine has like the backseat rest with the lever,cant waittosee it finished.

There's what looks like a horizontal plastic bar that goes across those two bottom plastic looking outward bars that appears to be missing.

And as well, All history done at the main dealer - good buy, will be a great car for somebody

Hi Mark great video and nice car it’s common for the pads to stick a bit on the electric handbrake if left for a few days it usually clears when driven for a while also the door straps click you can grease it but may need a new strap.😊

Mark is the n/sf door and wing a different shade than the rear door and quarter it looks it on camera.

Why not have headlight reglass

Today almost got in trouble with my ka there's noise coming from the left front side of my wheel when am on an even road surface I tried opening the front left wheel i had already lift the car up with the jack but the wheel it could not come off after opening all the bolts. I put the bolts back and tried to start the car but it could not start The key would not turn and the brakes were hard as fk .i pressed the clutch down several times and luckily God had my prayers the car started 😂😂😂
