Thank you!
Thanks so much for a great video on grooming a Springer. My Duke is not a show dog and I'm hoping I can save some money as grooming is now so expensive.
Thank you for sharing! So helpful!
Thank you so much for this very detailed informative video! I have a Boykin Spaniel and I want to attempt grooming at home.
We are SO MAKING THESE!!! THANK YOU!!
Thank you for doing this demonstration, I do trim my sprocker the front feathers never look good, I only trim ears and feathers and feet, she’s 9 years old I’ve never had her clipped she’s got a little soft coat. Thank you again
Very helpful thank you. Grooming my 14 yr old Springer for the first time, I usually pay a groomer and I noticed she’s so good for them, used to be a terror for me which why I would pay a groomer.
hi.. i dont really have a problem... realated to groomingj........not interseeted
I’ve got a brother sister duo, also Black Tri-Color 🩷🤎🖤
How to get your dog up on the table?
I was wondering if you could tell me the name of the clippers you were using. I really love you video it's giving me the confidence to groom my own Springer Spaniel Thanks a lot Rick
Do you serve the dog food cold from the frig?
Thank you so much! We are adopting a English springer spaniel in a month and he really needs some grooming. The only thing is is that he’s a really scared dog because of his awful past. So we have to do it on our own for the first few months.
Thank you so much for posting such an easy-to-follow video guide… and an extra special ‘thank you’ to your beautiful fur-baby, Barrel, for being such a super grooming model. I’m a week away from completing my Level 3 Dog Grooming Diploma and always browsing CZcams for video demonstrations - you have such a lovely, calm way of working and everything you have talked about and shown here is absolutely on point. My own fur-baby is a beautiful choc-tan English Cocker Spaniel, so a lot of what you have covered here works for her too. Thanks again x
What shavers do you use? Would love a quick guide of mm of shears and section. Thank you!
Angie, excellent video. How would you groom a Springer with his tail still intact? We adopted our baby from ESRA whereby he was rescued from a back yard breeder. We are very pleased with having his tail but am giving our new groomer another chance with my more educated directions following your video. Another video on a different breed you might recommend for how to cut the fur on our Winston's tail? Thanks hon.
Smart
I’m in the process of looking for a new groomer because his previous groomer keeps giving him a “ cocker” cut. Is there a universal name for the proper cut for a “ springer” cut that I can ask the groomer if they know how to do it? Or what can I ask the groomer to be sure he gets the proper cut? Thank you!
Muito lindo o trabalho de vocês
That’s a beautiful boy. Reminds me of my long gone liver and white, except with eyebrows and fewer spots. Same face and snout.
Thanks for teaching us God bless
Thank you so much for posting this video. I have a springer and I've been wanting to learn how to groom him myself. One question, what size blade did you use when you went down Barrel's back? Your boy is very handsome and he was a great model! Thank you again!
So handsome. My tri color English Springer is sweet like your boy. Mine has more liver/brown, but our family loves her to bits! Thanks for the tips and tricks for keeping us safe during grooming.
Thanks! What about under the rectum?
I really enjoyed watching this! But I’m afraid I need you to actually demonstrate on my springer! 😁
Absolutely brilliant instructional video, thank you so much! I have a Sprocker that I'm going to have to groom myself because the groomers are booked for weeks and we have a heatwave approaching. SO helpful!
He was a good boy ! Treat time :)
You did a great job explaining how to groom your English Spaniel. I have the same dog and I would like to learn how to groom him myself. Oh by the way I ordered a scissor kit. I never knew about the using a comb. Thank you so much 💜
Thank you so much for this video! I have a Sprocker (Springer-Cocker mix) and she is an anxious little thing so I know she wouldn't do well at the groomer. I've been trying to learn how to trim her feathers and this has helped immensely
you explain everything so well. I am learning about grooming. thank you
IF you are a dog groom tell me why you are doing that in your Kitchen can't afford a portable building. This tells me that you are not getting much business that is why you are doing this on youtube
Sorry if you shaved my dog would sue you would never bring another dog to you have you ever heard of anti tangle Dog shampoo sorry talking like that am sorry will never come in 100 miles of your business my dogs are purebred show dogs and if you would shave them it would cost you more $ that you have ever had
Did you even watch the video? She clearly explains this is not a show cut, it is a practical pet cut. Your comment is worthless.
God! I’d be to bloody frightened in case I hurt him! Be ok combing him, but would have to take him to a proper groomer for anything else
Thank you for this idea..love it..and now I can use my Polar fleece scraps up and make my dog friends gifts!!!
This was so so helpful, thank you!
He’s so adorable!
I thought animals of any type were supposed to eat raw meats
I cannot believe how much he looks like my dog! Tri colors are not so common. This is so helpful. I’ve been using a groomer for 3 years but we are pursuing therapy dog work and I need him to be groomed more often. I’m starting to do it myself to help with costs… thank you for this video! We have almost identical dogs ha!
Hello Holly, I found your comment very interesting thank you. With this, I’m referring to you using your springer as a therapy dog. My Hons Degree is in person-centred counselling but many years ago I was a proud owner of a Welsh Springer Spaniel Holly. There seemed to be a certain something about my dog Tammy, and upon reflection (following the reading of your comment)). I wondered about my Tammy being a part of my therapeutic alliance with a client Holly. I’m afraid Tammy passed away many years ago and so it’s only a fantasy for me. It’s just so thought provoking for me thought Holly. I groomed Tammy myself and (even if I say so myself) wholly believe that I made a very good job. I liked the tips and tricks you freely offered thanks Holly. I never owned trimmers etc way back then but I do feel now use them for my own hair lol. The thought of using only a 4 for their back coat is so interesting Holly. Employing a length 4 kept their style and character. In fact you made pains to maintaining the Springer’s specification. Well done you Holly - and hey’, thank you very much. There would be so much to learning how to include my Tammy in my therapy. An interesting thought. Anyway, I thought I would spontaneously send you a message Holly. My warm regards, Dave (65yrs) 🇬🇧
NJ!!!!! Thanks for sharing this :)
Very helpful :). I groom my springer myself, and I'm always looking for more tips because she too has the very wooly, curly type of coat.
Controversial?? I don't get it. I don't care at all about my dogs temporary appearance. If I find one, I cut it right out and yes it's noticeable afterwards. And I don't know how I miss it to begin with since she is with me every moment possible especially in bed. Only reason is she likes me to touch or pet her belly than her head area. She will always flop over just right so my extended arm can only reach her whole belly, less hair area of belly. The sensitive spot that puts your dog to sleep spot.
Thank you for explaining everything! I’ve watched so many videos where they just cut the dog hair and play music in the background. We might get a cocker one day and you helped me know what I would be signing up for and gave all of the advice that I’d need. Thank you.
Awesome thank you for all the advice 💯💯😎✌️🇮🇹
You have given me such much to think about, I’m a aspiring groomer and I have a young spaniel.. you have helped me so much and I’m definitely going to brush him more
Nice bed, not for chewers! Also could be used in training as a hot zone. Easy to make a couple of them, keep one or two at home and throw a couple in the truck! Thanks for the video!
You have good videos! You should have more comments! I'd like to see what you have in your first aid kit. Also it's been a while since this video was made, maybe include the entire bug out bag again as I'm sure it has changed somewhat.
I’m re watching the the video, I’m understanding you used blade #4 all around the body and leg part.
Hopefully you see my comment, can you tell me exactly what size of blade numbers you used, I have the same breed of dog, some how I couldn’t understand the number, I would appreciate it a lot, thanks 😊
Poopy tassle 😂
He is missing his tail, didn’t realize this was legal still in some places 😰
You must not be in the US
No I’m not. Currently live in Sweden but before in the UK and Australia. It just feels very alien to see and cruel when done for cosmetic reasons.
Yes, legal in the US. Shouldn't be.
Legal and responsible to do for working dogs.
If it's a working dog it has to be done to avoid serious and way more painful accidents down the line.
I'm getting a puppy this summer and I am trying to get prepared as much as I can. What would you recommend for an 8 week old.
