i just got bored. i wasnt sure if i wanted to keep the original audio or add the infamous “sortie! its name is robot” ost myself so it’s easier to hear. so i did both. i synced them based on when the soundtrack starts, so it would match all of them. although, all of them have slight variations of the song on the album, so it’s not a perfect match

I miss this show so much. I watched it two summers ago when I was 19 and they were 19 too, I’d come home from work and watch it every night and I don’t know how but the show just represents all the feelings of girlhood, it’s exciting, warm, bittersweet, familiar and heartbreaking all at the same time. I still want to go live in Japan one day & I’m still waiting to see my hachi again. I think about that summer a lot, everything was all brand new & a lot simpler. Things are good now too Alhamdullilah but back then they were predictable and comforting. This show takes me back to that time like nothing else. I don’t think I can watch it again though it really did consume my heart :/

“Hey Nana, that summer you longed for more than anyone, the one we couldn’t get back, well, it’s here now. I’ll always be waiting, for 10 years, 20 years, 50 years..”. This shows how much Hachi loved Nana, how long she’d wait to see her once again. It’s insane how one simple line can show how a character is. She needs Nana, they are each others missing pieces. This anime is so amazing and well made. The story fits together so perfectly and it breaks my heart that it ended like this. The ending doesn’t tell us if they talk again, and I think it was meant to be like that, to keep you wondering. To keep you hoping, it makes you realize how attached you are to the characters, and how much they can have an impact on you. Hachi and Nana are like the viewers, hoping they will one day get back together. The love they have for each other can’t be called “friendship” it was more than that. They were in love.
Everytime I hear hey nana or hey Hachi I break out in tears it’s not even funny😿
