I have never watched the 90s Xmen so I went into this show blind. And my god; this show truly made me love Cyclops and Magneto. Its deffo close to the standards set by Daredevil and Jessica Jones

I absolutely love that Godzilla is the closest thing we have to a modern day myth. The nuclear bomb was completely unprecedented and left a permanent mark on the world. Events like this in history (Volcanos, Earthquakes, Tsunamis) would often be attributed to the works of gods, dragons, etc. I think its INCREDIBLY interesting that despite our advances since then japan still created a "dragon". Im sure you could tie this to some deep need for mythos we have as a species, but im not really artsy brained enough to talk about all that. I just think it's real neat.

i am so glad someone else is thinking these things, i bit my tounge when i watched it cause i just did not get it, its a "scary" thing for completely normal people who havent experienced any sort of horrors, its a horror movie for the rich family, and nothing to the rest of us

I have never disagreed with a take as much as i do this one. I love comic venom. He is my favorite character in all of comics. He has a ton of depth, but no one seems to see it. I loathe the Topher Grace and Tom Hardy version. They never do the character right, and they keep trying to make him a joke.

X men 97 is proof politics don’t ruin stories, bad writing does. The politics of X men 97 are hardly subtle but the storytelling is phenomenal.

The weird thing? Humans are an Ape. And I think that aspect is what this new trilogy is going to focus on to some degree.

What Wes Ball did with this movie astounded me! Continuing the story of Caesar by exploring his legacy as an almost religious figure was brilliant. On top of that the VFX were immaculate and the performances just as impressive. An epic return to this world that has me wanting a lot more!

Stan Lee may have created CYCLOPS, but it was writer Chris Claremont who fleshed him out and truly brought him to life. Cyclops has had fans for years because if you read the comics during the Chris Claremont years--YOU KNEW what made that character compelling. Fans such as these have waited longingly to see the character's full potential and understanding to be shown to the world (especially after the outright SLANDER and NERFING that was The X-Men film franchise!!!) For diehard Scott Summers fans... X-MEN '97 IS A DREAM COME TRUE. THIS SHOW IS A TRIUMPH. A TRUE MASTERPIECE, INDEED.❤️‍🩹

Everyone shit on him, but in the end, he was the one who put.the most heart when it came to detail and an immersive experience that was very lackluster in story but never disappointed in showing up fantastic fights with detention to detail in those fights, that they sprouted whole videos describing them in-depth. He may not be the greatest story teller, but he knows what he's doing. Much like a person can tell a story on a canvas, Bay knew what the hell he was doing.

I do feel with Tom Hardy it was because Sony didn't own Spider-man now. They have to jump through hoops to get him in. The only reason they didn't yet is because they got Toby and Andrew in No way Home. Venom was supposed have a bigger role since at the time they didn't know if they'd come back or not.

I really like Mae’s character. Because, let’s be real, she is what humans would be if they were really in this situation. She sees these apes as unnatural. It’s wrong. If we were really in this situation, we would do everything in our power to end these apes. So I love the way they characterized her. She’s on a mission for humanity, whilst finding humanity in the apes along the way. Now she’s set on a course where she’s gonna be torn between sides and will probably be forced to choose.

I think it’s funny that Proximus was learning about Caesar’s namesake (Julius). Probably incorporating more of Julius Caesar than ape Caesar.

Rogue one is the best Star Wars because director Gareth Edwards completely respected and paid homage to the source material: George Lucas. Whereas other writers and creators fail to see the true essense of Star Wars trying to introduce gimmicky concepts, characters and storylines (dark saber, light whip, witches, acolyte, inquisitors) thinking they are "expanding the universe". The franchise has been void of creativity and originality in storyline so they try to focus on individual characters instead of the Universe as a whole since no one really knows where to take the story or whos in charge of the direction.. almost trying to be like Marvel Comics... hundreds of writers and ideas... no direction

They better not shy away from how abusive Joker is! I am so happy we've reached a point where Harley is her own character (maybe even more popular than Joker) and not just the jokers girlfriend.
