Been working on something, tasked myself with a monumental Kobe project, coming soon.
Rare, timeless 2000’s nba highlights for basketball fans and enthusiasts. I used to showcase a variety of players, but the focus now and going forward is solely Kobe. All compilation/creative projects, and many “full highlights” are exclusive to this channel.
Many thanks to those who support.

Kobe Bryant’s 1 on 1 Two Dribble Midrange Pull Up Fade | Skill Set Series

Diverting from the “no dribbles” theme but maintaining the 1 on 1 aspect, Kobe showcases his usage of two dribbles to create midrange pulls. Contrasting from one dribble yanks, two pounds allows him a greater separation opportunity as the defender is forced to guard beyond one stride. It’s important to note that Kobe does this when appropriate, he doesn’t take a second dribble unless the floor spacing permits it.
Whether right, left, baseline or middle, the direction he heads is always weak-side, or to an area of the court thats open and without impeding defenders - 1:13, 2:28, 3:06, 5:10, 5:52. In many instances, Kobe utilizes a low swing/rip thru in order to gain leverage on that first step - 0:59, 1:30, 3:20, 4:36. As his matchup works to recover, Kobe gets to his spot, stops on a dime and elevates into a fadeaway.
Kobe was primed to sit back and work his defender while isolated - 1:44, 4:50, 5:59, 9:05. He also had the ability to go quickly - 2:42, 3:26, 4:22. On many occasions, Kobe is tasked with shooting over multiple players. As he puts the ball down, a second defender leaves his man to run at Kobe and contest - 0:42, 3:48, 7:48, 8:49.
Regarding footwork, the majority of clips include Kobe using his customary 1-2. He hops into the gather, landing on both feet only a couple of times, typically doing so when manufacturing last second space requires a slight bump with the defender as he picks up the ball - 2:51, 4:43, 7:23. We also see a bit of his reverse pivot “step out on the catch.” He goes quickly on these as well - 1:52, 8:02, 8:09.
My personal favorite is 8:22. It’s the definition of “getting to your spot.” He uses that cross-body step I referred to in the jab step video. And although Kobe gets virtually no closer to the basket, he creates both space and seemingly perfect rhythm with those two dribbles. He rises up and knocks it in, straight as an arrow. Which clip is your favorite? Share in the comments.

I can still feel the intensity watching these highlights over 20 years later! Yes, we in L.A were all in pins and needles that day as Kobe said, lol.
This version of Kobe would destroy Anthony Edwards
Who else is watching? Watching this and other classics it’s so much fun to see no cellphones and people actually watching the game and involving the game. Ever green classics.
Kobe's career has been dismissed and forgotten by haters who said that he was just a sidekick to Shaq
I remember watching this game.
When the Kings went up 9 they had all the momentum and Kobe hit every single big shot to keep them in the game. People who say Shaq carried Kobe are out of their minds. Kobe was the better player Shaq just won those finals mvps because his numbers were a little better
While I admit that it is still painful to revisit this series, Detroit earned that title. LA just couldn't contain Billups that opened the floodgates of hell every game.
It’s much harder defending the tittle than winning it Kobe
😂wait did y’all see Chris and Kobe?.. were they trynna have a wrestling match or something 😂
7’1” and 147kg (pure muscle ) center moved like a guard. How you stopping that
🎬🟣🟡🏀⚪🟣🤴🏻
Notice how every call the refs emphatically call for the Lakers, they made the game a joke
And yet, the Kings still blew their chances to win it all.
Kudos to Duncan.. Duncan had no choice but to face Prime Shaq and rising Star Kobe year after year after year, that's how tough Duncan's road to championships..
We're a few days away from the 20th anniversary of game 2. One of the few games where I remember a good amount of moments and plays of the game (as a 13 year old). The hedging and blitzing on pick and rolls, the primary blocks, the help defender blocks, the 1v1 defense, chasing around floppy actions/flares, the charges taken. The game back then already didn't have much spacing, so this really felt like an NHL playoff game with absolutely zero space and the smallest space advantage needing to be exploited. The 04 ECF and the 05 Finals were truly the last great playoff defensive matchups
This was some of the greatest defense played by 2 equally matched teams.Incredible!!
Mesmerizing he played like he was dreaming and the defenders were too except someone was having a nightmare lol
Young Kobe loved lighting up penny lol RIP Kobe and Gigi plus the others
Don’t ever Sleep….🪙
I can't find the proper words to describe how much I miss this kind of basketball
god gave us jordan and kobe and they are beautiful to watch. No one will ever copy those two specially when it comes to winning
This looked like the Game Seven 2010 finals
One of the best channels in CZcams.

how are you stopping that?
i'm not crying man
i'm not crying man
I remember this game. Why on earth did Kobe shoot the pointless 3? Up by 10. Can just hold it for time to expire… Nope. I can understand why Reggie would be mad.
Back then, you could knock someone’s head clean right off and the Ref wouldn’t bat an eye 😂 The nastiest game I’ve ever watched was the Malice at the Palace. You could just sense sh*t was about to go down during that game…the Refs just them play 😂😂
Midrange game is beautiful man
🐐🐐🐐
The difference between Boston and Miami is the Age of their Top 3 players. They are all a Decade plus into their careers. Not up and coming Rivals of the Future. It wasnt as Chickenshit.
He could shoot
i seen a lot of fts. billjps it literally the most eforrtless fuck u mj lovers cus he seoncd
Kings vs the refs
The Kings still choked.
This may be the best defensive series ever in basketball, and it's probably going to stay that way with how the game is being watered down.
"I gave that fucker (MJ) 40 points." -Gilbert Arenas
