I see another cool local like walterific! LOL.
Thank you, great video!
Just ordered thanks for the discount code!
Your torque section with the front axle nut is either confusing or very wrong.
Mobile 1 turbo oil. Been using it for over 10 years.
Thanks guys that was very helpful. Is it essential to torque the oil filter?
Thanks for reply. Hand tight is fine….but maybe check for at leaks and check again after 1st ride.
@@1LiterADV Wow thanks for prompt reply! Just finished the job and heading out for a short test ride to check for leaks. Thanks again from NZ :)
Question so the only purpose is to prevent quick smash and grab as the mount and windscreen can be moved with standard Allen keys that most prepared motorcyclist would be carrying additionally of quick can just rip the windscreen off and then only 2 Allen keys holding it in.
Thanks
Es eliminator did install
Does this Slip-On come with the servo blockoff pulley ?
I recommend watching through the video. We go over the servo parts that are provided, and how to install them. With this kit, I don’t think you need anything else.
Thank you , not sure if the servo blockoff was included !
Shell rotella 10-40W for diesel engines was recommended by most on the Vstrom forums.
Yes and I read through so many of those forums. I don’t think the price difference is worth it nowadays.
As a former sound engineer and recording studio manager I appreciate the clothes stand.
You would also appreciate the fact that I took the video inside a recording studio. 😄
i too changed the rear to a 44, and got the same results , the reason i took this path was in towns and small country roads it felt that in had to go from gear to gear in slow moving traffic, as i live in the UK its hell. so with the 44 it made life a little better, and i will never go on dirt, as i am to old and bits and bobs will break so easy , and take a long time to heal.
How’s the abs? Can’t shut it off right? Is it fine going down steep loose parts?
Sometimes it can get in the way when going down loose parts. So you have to rely more on your front brakes. I always just use one finger on my front.
Hi guys, have you done long term review after changing the springs ?
what phone mount are u using and what is it mounted to?
It’s a RAM mount. And it’s mounted to a windshield bar mount that you can purchase online for the Vstroms.
@@1LiterADV thanks i will look for that for my wee strom
Did I miss what the oil level is set at? I pulled one a part off an ES and the one that wasn't leaking had about 60-70mm from the top and I believe it's 10wt for anyone curious.
Awesome review dude. Cheers !
WTF would you want to set it back factory? Why wouldn't you just set it up for the rider Front rider sag is 69mm Rear rider sag is 66mm Then set up comp and rebound to suit your riding style. SCREW FACTORY SETTINGS!
It’s so you have a reference of where you’re at. The bike was bought 2nd hand and new owner did not know where previous owner had bike set.
Right to the point, nice video 👊🏼✌🏼
Thx for the complement.
Well explained
Great video looks like I’m going to do mine now thanks for sharing that video well done
Glad it helped!
So everything is stock settings minus adding more preload on forks and shock? But doesn’t everyone seem To say it’s all to soft in General? I just bought a 24 standard and under its own weight with the preload cranked I can’t even meet the 10% static sag or my rider sag doesn’t seem like there’s much adjustment in the preload in the rear. So I’m not sure about adjusting the rest of it or how to do it properly.
What you said seems all correct. Unless your weight is like your average 6th grader…changing out springs will allow more room for adjusting.
@@1LiterADV ya I believe it would. Haven’t went off routing yet to know it’s limitations, but when I’ve had potholes or bumps in the road so far, it seemed good. It’s strange. I’ve had many people say. The stock suspension is fine and then some say completely opposite.🤷🏼♂️

Did it work?
I feel like it cleaned up some of the low end hesitation. However, I did change my exhaust as well to a full system.

Worst bike I’ve ever had to clean at least no wire wheels for yu
I just inherited this bike so I'm a newbie to understanding it. I was able to follow along and understand everything you explained until 7:14. You were matching the Rear Shock Preload to match the Front Forks Preload and said you didn't go Full Max but you went Full Hard (isn't that the same?). This is the part I didn't understand, "you backed it out and left a bit on the top". Factory Setting is 7 clicks from full soft. Does that mean you turned to Full Max/Full Hard and then just backed off a couple of clicks? TIA
Hi…this leovince is good for my honda africa twin 2019? Or its just for 2017?
I would check on their website to confirm. We also have videos of installs on newer Africa Twins.
Can you check for me pls? Thanks
Nice video, but i have question for you friend. What external microphone are you using on the DJI? I ask this because I can't find a way to keep my Movo lavalier microphone from saturating inside the helmet. It sounds horrible. So much so that I had to go back to my old Gopro Hero 4 So what is the combination that worked best for you between adapter and microphone on the DJI? Greetings!!
If I understand your question correctly, you’re having issues finding the right volume gain on your lav mic. For me it was a bit of trial and error. I think I ended up sticking to something in the negative range. I don’t recall the exact dB amount. This is the massive downside to DJI. I hope they fix this.
How to reduce wind noise in osmo 3?
Thanks for the video. Referenced it the whole way... For anyone who may have outback pannier racks..yes it gets in the way of the hangar bolt lol
great content thank you ❤
You forgot one thing to mention that the Crf 1000 is very nitpicking about measuring the oil… definitely not on the center stand and also not on the side stand.. set it straight like you would ride it and than measure it… it makes a huge difference.
Thanks for the tip on how to check the level. I’ll keep that in mind.
Great review. Finally found someone how doesn’t make a video saying watever I can already read o alpinestar's website. You really commente on one concern I had regarding how it would feel on a hot weather. I live on hot & humid climete, so even when it's raining it is still hot, so ventilations is important to me too. I would love to see your reveiw on the other alpinestars Halo jacket too
Thanks! I wouldn’t recommend this jacket for humid climates. I currently have the Halo. To be completely honest, it’s still very uncomfortable if it’s above 85° and humid, and you’re not going fast. But it’s much better than any other jacket I’ve tried so far.
Going to have to try popping my clutch for that traction tip! Love your videos. Keep standing, seems like it's the most versatile.
what model springs are these?
Hey, very nice comparison, ty! How difficult was it to remove the db killers from this slip on? Are they made to be removed and reinstalled?
Not too hard. The first time is tricky but seems like afterwards it’s easier.
If they are removable, why tricky?
Because on the LV12 muffler, you have to remove the carbon fiber end cap, which from factory might have a tiny amount of adhesive and/or fit tightly. I honestly don’t think LeoVince intended for people to remove the dB killers all the time. It’s just an option for those of us who are curious.
Got them out, saw on an install you did that tapping works and it did. For anyone else with this pipe, I added some WD40 around and pushed with a plastic spatula and tapped to work it off. There was no adhesive on mine whatsoever. Btw, in case you didn’t know either, WD40 is what you use to clean the Titanium 😅
where did you order the spring from and is it the heavy or normal weight spring?
I ordered everything from Hyper-Pro and I went with the system that raised the bike 20 or 25mm
New AT owner here. Good video. Off subject question, have you had to replace the right footpeg? Thx
No replacement, but I do have the camel support brace.
I cant imagine how long it took you to do that stop motion shot homie... sheesh
i take my dl 650 offroading with a pillion. i fully understand and like your infantile stupidity in taking that v strom to that dumbass forest. your gear, from the RF mount, to the m1 processor to the dbx compressor etc... subscribed.
You should lubricate the slides on the pads no? If they don’t have lubrication, they can get stuck or bind, and it could be a reason why it is squeaking.🤷🏼♂️
Very long story. But where did you finaly mounted the temperture gauge?
I read your comment and I think you’re asking about the temp probe pickup. I mounted that inside one of the snorkels that feeds air filters.
@@1LiterADV You mean at the inner outside or actualy drilled a hole in the snorkel and put it inside? Maby you mentioned it in your video put than I missed it. Thank you for your aswer and you good work.
I tucked it in front opening of snorkel
This is SO COOL! Love the Topo design!
Thanks! It’s still going strong!
@@1LiterADV I have a DL1000 and I'm choosing the new look right now, this is an INSPIRATION!

I don't know how to get in touch with you on this forum but would love to go riding with you
Is this with the db killer in or out?
great job
