    First one of my fav episodes. Especially the ending with Crockett and Tubbs in silhouette. Second is this the original video or remastered because it looks very clear for video of that time. Despite that love it!!!!! Miss that show.

      My guess is that it's a small town, and all of his business is with people he knows. Back in the day, you knew your customers, what they shot, how much, what size round, drums or box magazine, etc. That's the vibe I'm getting.

    There is a posting on YT from the armorer for this movie. It is very very good. He talks about just every gun you see in the movie with many historical tidbits. He also explains how dedicated Kevin Costner was to realism and historical accuracy. Also addresses the difficulty in procurring and replicating some of the weapons used in this great movie.

    When I was a kid in the early 60's I walked right through the commercial district of the small town I lived in to go rabbit hunting in the woods outside of town. Nobody batted an eye. Today I would be surrounded by a SWAT team.

    The .30-30 Winchester rifle was actually Kevin Costners personal gun. Also the 03 Springfield with the optic was borrowed from either a friend or from one of the actual employee's of the prop gun place i cant remember. But apparently they had to be very careful with it since it was a loaner Edit: Youll notice its not in the arms of the gun store merchant with all the others as he carries the guns to Franks car. They didnt want to nick or scratch it.

    • @maralinekozial9131
      @maralinekozial9131 Před 4 měsíci

      @@winternow2242 Frank Hammer is better in The Highway men & it's a bit more realistic considering Clyde never got out of the car but nothing has to be 100% accurate in a film because its impossible anyway!!!! But Bonnie & Clyde is still a masterpiece of film making & still is perfect today regardless of what they changed in that film , it's a perfect movie, this movie isn't!!!!! If they really wanted to make Highway men as realistic as possible all they literally had to do was read the book Public Enemies considering it's the most honest & historical writing of all the depression era bank robbers!!!! The author did more homework in order to write that book than anyone else ever did so that book is basically the bible on this subject!!!!
