Bro, you aren’t FUSING the base material and the tarp material together. It has to be the same type of plastic, (HDPE to HDPE). A tarp is PVC. Your gouge filler can be pulled right off. It will not stop a leak.

When you say tarp do you mean Polyethylen tarps with like fibers enter woven or just plane plastic tarps like dextor makes the walls of his clean rooms with? Great video I have a few whitewater kayaks with some bad scratches on them
