    I have a sign and I dont want the last letter there anymore. If I just cut the wire connected to the last letter will the rest of it still work? The power is coming from the front one. Thanks!!!

    • @Spectron
      @Spectron Před 2 dny

      It depends on how the rest of the letters are wired up. If one letter is wired to the next in a chain then yes, cutting off the last letter should be okay and the sign should still work. For certainty though, send us a wiring diagram and we can check for you - sales@spectronled.co.uk

    How does each letter get its power when you did three separate power connections? How are they joined at the rear to make one final connection?

    • @Spectron
      @Spectron Před měsícem

      The letters are joined together and the end piece is connected to the power supply. The sign is quite small and uses less than 3m of neon flex so we can do it this way without seeing a voltage drop and inconsistencies in brightness. If the letters were larger, we would need to connect each on to the driver. You can only use about 2-3m of neon flex in one continuous run before needing to run directly to the driver. Hopefully this makes sense, but feel free to contact us for more info.

    Hi! Cool job and good advices! I was wondering, the part with the big letters, to avoid voltage drop, for the others letters I guess you also did it in pairs but in terms of connection, did you kept each of those lines separated and connected directly to the power supply or did you do a series circuit between them? If not the case could you illustrate please? Thank you , I’m learning to make neon signs and had that voltage drop problem recently so saw the opportunity 😊😅

    • @Spectron
      @Spectron Před měsícem

      Hi! For letters using more than 3m of neon, we connect directly to the power supply to avoid voltage drop and keep the power cable as short as possible, ideally 1m max. Hope that helps!

      Hi, it's 5mm clear acrylic. We use a CNC machine with our CNC cutter for winged neon flex. We do a first pass with a standard cutter first, to clear away a majority of the material in the channel, before using our winged cutter. This preserves the winged blades. We generally cut to a depth of 3.5mm when using a 5mm panel. If using a 10mm panel we will cut to a depth of maybe 6mm. Hope that helps!

    I have never used these led strip which look like led strips, that's all I can say about it, sure the colors look great in the evening, but real neon has a glow that can't be imitated. That said these are probably cheap chinese products which use cheap materials, unsuable to work with. If I was to think of a product that would resemble neon it would definately be round. and it would come in two parts a guide which can be used to guide the round led strip and a clamp the strip as well, a lesser tedious process. also in addition to the roundness of the tube there should be a few end pieces that could be soldered on the end of the tubes, so it looks like writing, or pulled effect, such as reall neon has. Let me say that cheap products do not pay off in the end, people want good stuff!

      Hello Ron Moes, We appreciate your candid feedback regarding our neon flex product in our recent CZcams video. Your insights are incredibly valuable to us, as we are always working to enhance our offerings based on customer input. We're glad to hear that you find the colours of our product appealing, particularly in the evening setting. You've made a notable observation about the distinctions between our LED neon flex and traditional neon signs. While our LED neon flex aims to replicate the iconic glow of traditional neon, we understand that it may not capture every nuance of the classic signage. Your perspective sheds light on the unique qualities of traditional neon that are hard to replicate. Addressing your concerns about product quality, we'd like to assure you that we prioritise the use of high-quality materials in our neon flex products. Durability and long-lasting performance are pivotal considerations for us, especially within the professional realm of sign making. This product comes with a 3 year warranty as standard. Your concept of a round LED strip product accompanied by guides and clamps is intriguing and practical. We do offer another product called Acryneon® which more closely resembles glass neon in that it can be fully round. Two pieces of acrylic are milled to shape and embedded with LEDs. Examples and spec can be viewed in our online catalogue here: books.w2060.cn/2023/557/ (from page 13). Its versatility and style range contribute to a diverse set of choices for sign makers and it is generally used in commercial settings. Your emphasis on investing in quality resonates with us, and we're dedicated to providing sign makers with products that are not only visually appealing but also built to withstand the test of time. Should you have any additional suggestions, questions, or comments, we encourage you to reach out to us directly. Your feedback is invaluable as we continue our pursuit of excellence in product development and customer satisfaction. We extend our gratitude for taking the time to express your thoughts and insights. We eagerly anticipate further opportunities to refine our products based on feedback from respected voices such as yours. Best regards, Spectron LED
