~ PART#51 in a project dubbed "Nanuuq" to swap out my lifted Land Rover Discovery 2's blown 4.0L V8 & boring ZF auto for a Cummins 4BT 3.9L turbo (Holset Super HX30W) diesel 4-cylinder engine (Bosch P7100 pump) with an NV4500 5-speed manual transmission. The AWD 4x4 will remain with the LT230 transfer case divorced behind it all, & plenty of Dodge 6BT parts too. Another big phase of my custom DIY build to create a do-just-about-anything off-road / overland rig. Did I mention it's a camper too?

Nice self built gullwing, but for myself I rather have the door raise up, not down . Nice overland interior build again I stain the wood, no carpet but for each as own build 😊
Good points! My idea with the fold down was another table surface. And yeah the carpet didn't hold up super well over time, despite the thermal and sound advantages, but the edge trim started peeling and the light color has been super tricky to keep clean haha
Not sure what you mean by sound deaden ? Kilmat does an excellent job for sound deadening, but this what makes building something fun is learning from our mistakes to see what works and what doesn't any way nice effort

Many thanks for this video. So many 5.9 videos out there is difficult to find a 4BT video. I have one in my 2004 Lull Telehandlers and I can hear a valve tapping when idling. Not bad but needs to be checked.

No way I cut or chop metal to install flares that may rust where before wasn't any rust I like the flares but for me not cutting off metal for a look but for you go ahead 😊

Wait. How do you have d windows on this thing? Ive been trying to find some 17 inch d windows with the right lug pattern for outting 35s on the same exact car. Except ill be cutting the dog shit out of mine instead of lifting.
Also cant find spacers that change the lug pattern to accept the wheels.
Oh it's just running 5x100m to 5x4.5" spacers that are 1" thick

How much would you need to do exactly this in the back of my disco 2?
So im wanting to add what my in law calls a "performance intake manifold" to my 2000 V6 4.3 silverado. If I was to add this to it would I NEED to add a turbo or is there an alternative?
It's non negotiable. If you do a marine intake, you must add a large turbo with a minimum of 12lbs of boost for it to run properly.
Did you need a custom braket for the new calipers if not what year calipers bolted up

Thats awesome, i love those old impreza outbacks. I want to put some forester struts and bigger tires on my 99 outback but i do mostly street driving so i dont want tons of added weight, less handling and less gas mileage.

It's an original ECU running "open source" tuning, and for sure a Link could do this even better! Open source is good, but the stock ECU is pretty slow and lacking many of the safeties that a Link has.
