Hi Molly. Thank you so much for the videos. You are doing a great job! When you get a chance, can you give an update on how you are enjoying your backpack and pre-made meals?

Apparently it is possible to gain weight on the AT as a long-distance hiker. However, I only know of one case, Mr Quadzilla, he reported that during his first AT hike he ate a lot of ice-cream everywhere. This time however, he will not gain weight as he tries to hike the entire trail on a budget of 1000 $. You can probably eat many more burgers until you gain weight as you burn everything. Mr Ziggi is more at risk of loosing too much weight as boys have another digesting system as women.

Big Meadows is actually a great spot to chill at and rest. Was curious how much showers are now? Still cant believe cost you $30 to enter park as a thruhiker. Feel like you should get a free shower and blackberry milkshake as a hiker!!

Such a beautiful place to have a zero! That way you get to enjoy it more. How did you like the Big Meadows showers? I felt like I was racing against the clock taking a shower there!

Taking zeros in the woods instead of town will actually be more restful and far cheaper. On my first thru hike, I had 79 zero days and since there were only 5 hostels on the trail, it was easier to just stay in the woods. I did most of my photography that way. You are hiking strong Mojo. Keep it up. geek

This place looks really lovely in summer and daylight. Can not recommend it in the night and in March. Had problems finding the trail since the view was suddenly below four feet because of fog.

What a day! I’m so happy you were able to get a burger. This video brings back fond memories. I section hiked Shenandoah with my husband driving our vehicle to drop me off on the morning and pick me up each afternoon. We camped in that same campground. Lucky for us the food service was operating. The Shenandoahs are a great place to hike. Before long, you’ll be in Harpers Ferry. Keep on hiking.

I hope the lodge opens for food tomorrow. I had some phenomenal lunches and dinners there when I stayed there last September. Ate breakfast at the wayside on my way out. Get some rest and be safe. Glad you got to see some deer, Shenandoah is full of them. Don’t forget to eat at Skyline lodge as well.
