The speaker I am using is called a Weber California 12. It has a voicing akin to vintage D series JBLs that Duane Allman and Dickey Betts used early on in the Allman Brothers Band (Pre Fillmore East '71 for Duane). I am playing an Epiphone MIK Les Paul Black Beauty 3 Pickup into a Fender GTX 50W combo.

I tried to demonstrate the volume and gain dynamics by simply using the volume knobs on the guitar. The clean tone is achieved by rolling off the volume knob of the chosen pickup. Pickups are OX4 Hot Duane humbuckers. Cerwin Vega ER-124 speaker plus Scumback H55. Marshall ORI50 head. Master on 7.5.

Thanks for these wonderful words. From my time listening to Duane it’s evident that he was a player with an endless flow of ideas that came out through on the spot improvisation. That concept is something I’m still trying to understand. Skydog is definitely the most creative player I’ve ever heard
