Recap of episode #24. I tried to make a quick tutorial on creating road traffic without using AI.
I'm using Temporal8 RealCars, but you can use any road vehicles.
Temporal8 RealCars are available after the year 2000, and you must pay maintenance costs.
Vehicles without orders create their own "implicit" orders.
Launch them at various locations on the map without orders.
Create custom routes with shared commands and clone multiple vehicles.
You can also download AI that will create a new company and launch cars automatically without paying for maintenance (or set up your own second company on the map). Alternatively, you can combine both styles.

I don't know why this video was recommended to me a year later, but...Are you aware the highway intersection at 28:35 is being used by cars to U-turn? Suggesting there's a mistake somewhere along the highway to the north east?

In Settings, set the maximum zoom level to 4x. But most importantly, you must have some 32-bit new graphics. You can find the links in the description

One-way road is very simple, it just looks complicated in this video. Simply select one-way road signs in the road construction menu and place them on the already existing road. Set the directions of travel, and with another click, designate the entry or the opposite direction. I will attempt to create a tutorial about it.

What would you need to know? I can try to make a video about it. I have some videos planned before I start a new game, and you might not even start my saved game without complete graphics...
HOW DIDJA GET THE EXACT CITY
You'll need to download some new graphics for that. I recommend everything from Temporal8, CZTR, and GETS, which are in high resolution. However, I also use "old" graphics for greater variety in the world. You can find the complete list here: drive.google.com/file/d/1bE--UkyTvIG-czZJDHk_89wAeTuHfhv-/view?usp=sharing I also recommend playing the OpenTTD JGRpatch version instead of the Steam version (vanilla). It offers a wide range of settings and improvements, such as train signal settings, the picker tool, automatic timetables, and much more.

My settings for a better gaming experience: 1)Enable cargo distribution (symmetric for passengers). 2)Enable realistic braking. 3)Use signal settings for signals (no entry, speed limit etc.). 4)Increase day length. 5)Build local trains that stop at many stations, and express trains that only stop at more important stations. 6)Use auto separation to keep services spaced apart. 7)Set zoom out level map to 128x. Also, take a look at my latest video on how to create real cars traffic.

Ani bych neřekl, že to je v DOSu, kdybych nečetl ten název. I když SkyRoads taky vypadal nějak takhle trojrozměrně.

V DOSu je spousta 3D her. Třeba Quake :)
@@Baegus No já bych to spíš tipoval na něco, co vzniklo pro PlayStation 1, něco přes DarkBasic nebo něco, co vzniklo stejným způsobem jako ten Windows spořič "3D bludiště". I když ten SkyRoads má taky tolik fps jako tohle.
@@Baegus Většina her nebyla 3D, ikdyž se tak zdálo. Byla to technika 2D Ray Castingu. Výsledek byl, že to celé vypadalo jako ve 3D. Říkalo se tomu 2.5D. Ale postavy taky byly jen 2D sprity. Co už se dalo označit jako 3D, by mohl být třeba LHX, Descent, Retaliator. Ray casting byl skvěle použit ve hře Comanche na generování terénu. Díky tomu vypadal dosti nadčasově.

To hrajem podobně dlouho, když jsem objevil výhody JGR verze a nových grafik, tak sem do toho znovu pustil naplno :D Chtěl bych nátáčět nějaký tipy a návody česky, kdyby byl zájem.

Používáte AI na osobní auta a pokud ano, jakou prosím?
Část vozidel je buď "bez přikazu" a vytvoří si náhodnou cestu kolem místa vypuštění z garáže (ale ne vždy mi to fungovalo 100%, podle verze JGR), a větší část má přikazy na jízdu po dálnici, přes město atd Můžete použít třeba "CITY AI" která vytvoří další společnost a ta spouští vozidla náhodně po mapě ale nepoužívám to.
@@TycoonGamerCZ Díky, zkoušel jsem postupně dvě doporučené od autora RealCars 32bpp, ale obě vždy jen založily společnost v jednom městě, postavily depo a dál nic, ani jedno autíčko.
@@PupuzorHave you used them with mods that add free cars? because if not, the AI won't work because they wont buy and run the cars that will make the AI company fail

@@Pupuzor i used Eyecandy Road Vehicles and another mod which adds basic cars with different colours called Generic Cars mod. For the AI I used "TownCars AI". After many years the company will eventually fail because the depots maintenance still drains cash from the company but it will automatically restart.
