Nice to have the show back - and agree with the other comments...there are fewer characters at the end on the Mark Twain too...missing are Chip and Dale, Alice Mad Hatter, White Rabbit, Green Army Men, Jessie, Marry Poppins, Dopey, Perl and Suzy... be nice if they add them back, and even some old schoolers like Rogger Rabbit, Three Little Pigs, all the dwarfs, Tigger and Winnie the Pooh

The new Maleficent battle is the witch battle.

I remember that little video at the beginning with Regis philbin. That was when the primetime version was still airing. When the prime time version was discontinued they removed that short video. Probably for good reason as it took up valuable playing time from the people. Still the playing time was short about 25 minutes per show; wish it was longer and gave more opportunities for people to play. I remember times when only 1 person play and it sucked.

These seem to be just minor show show changes with big removals. I know the floating carpet effect was often problematic and we know about "Murphy". Maybe removing them was an additional cost saving measure? The Peter Pan scene was developed years ago so that was not to tough to insert. Question: Why did it take so long to bring this show back? This show just has some elements removed and a well-known Peter Pan scene put back in. It didn't even require a new orchestra recording or any real studio or sound work. I would guess this show has a lower nightly maintenance cost over the last one? I dunno,...this feels like a "Fantasmic Light" or maybe "Diet Fantasmic"???

20:20 Watching a drag queen on stilts is what people have been waiting an entire year for in this updated version of Fantasmic, which is the B-Mode that occurs whenever Murphy (the dragon) wasn't working. Since 1992, I've witnessed the changes, and I must say, it's thanks to people like you who still go and endure the crowds that I don't have to waste money on a downgraded experience. Disney had a whole year to improve, but they kept it in B-Mode. It's disappointing that they couldn't invest in a new dragon, especially considering how much money we spend on sodas alone. It's a slap in the face, but not surprising since Disney doesn't prioritize creativity anymore. They're more like financial engineers than "Imagineers." If they can't even fund a prop for a historic show, it's clear they don't care anymore and it took the dragon burning down for them to finally fix all the fountain nozzles, lol. Disney doesn't prioritize creativity anymore. ALL the money they get, they give it to their exes and cut departments like Disney Imaginary that Universal is beating them in theme park industry. Hell, there new drone show Disney Springs was pathetic compared to what the Angeles (Anaheim baseball team) did for May the 4th Be With You.

y’all need to understand that yes there are lack of animatronics in the show, but also remember the reason why there was a hiatus in the first place, and why we got to this point? obviously with safety being the top priority, the safety of the show and the audience is most important. and does that mean cutting some animatronics so there would not be a fire in the middle of the show (cause that happened before)? unfortunately it is what it is but it’s still the same show without it.

The underwhelmed crowd reaction during the old dragon scene was telling. The silence was both deafeningly loud, and obvious folks were holding their breathe for "what could be". Happy to have Fantasmic back, but after 1 year, sadly modern Disney dropped the ball again & underwhelmed.

Whenever i think about how bad they botched this movie, i come back here 5 years later to watch this reaction video as it was 100x better than the actual film...

They were supposed to be an attraction in the park, They were rolled out for one day to impress the shareholders and then quickly put back in their boxes, Disney has no shame.

😂 idk man... those themeparks ALLWAYS cringed me out. But its not the obvious plastik environment or that lets pretend we are Star wars characters... it is the people who are amazed by that... that aaawwww... it looks so real... no its not. Those themeparks always feel like soulless shallow plastic... and those "actors" like that Lady here, make it worse imo. IDK man...
