      @@dbg5744 Wasn't the whole point of Jesus to come to Earth and to die for our sins? So, it doesn't really matter who killed him, because his entire point was to die?

    Jesus never existed, but the story is bullcrap, there's no way the romans would have took orders from a jewish council, also Pilot wouldn't have let barabas die in jesus' place, also the sort of trial they had was during passover, no way that would happen. The life of jesus was a fictional story, now stop killin' each other and get on with your life.

      jimmy2k4o It's not up for debate. Jesus of Nazareth who was baptised by John the Baptist and crucified in the early 1st century is a historical figure. Whether you believe in his divinity or any of the other stories in the Bible is your business, but the individual existed.

    The people you call "European Jews" have more in common genetically with Jews from Iraq,Iran,Egypt,Yemen, than they do with Europeans. Similarly, Jews from the middle east have more in common with Jews in Europe than they do with their neighbours. See the research in peer reviewed journals. The American Journal of Human Genetics, and in Nature -journal.

    @lumpfish99 Yes i'm not denying that at all, it fits in with what i'm saying.

  • @boliussa
    @boliussa Před 12 lety

    @lumpfish99 remember also that if one wants to refer to historic palestine, it was across both banks of the jordan river, and the PLO , the palestine arab national movement founded in 1964, declared it wanted both sides, an interestingly enough, excluded what is now the disputed territory. Shows how special that land was to them!

  • @boliussa
    @boliussa Před 12 lety

    @lumpfish99 In the meantime, during the times of the Ottoman Empire, the west, like Britain still called it Palestine, but not the residents there. And when then the Ottomans lost it and the allies took the middle east after WW1, the British reintroduced the name Palestine. Residents were known not as Palestinians but as Palestine Jews and Palestine Arabs. The arabs resisted it but then insisted on it when they saw it was politically a good tactic for them!

  • @lumpfish99

    @boliussa yes im sure you are but the picture is there for public view so visit london and see it for yourself. the tours are free.

  • @boliussa
    @boliussa Před 12 lety

    @lumpfish99 Im talking facts,let the evidence lead where it leads.What i'm saying is The Romans renamed it from Judea to Palestine to remove the jewish identity from the land.and at some point the name fell out of use in the Arab/Islammic world such that during the times of the Ottoman Empire which was around for hundreds of years,theOttomans did not not call it Palestine and neither did the residents.Arabs denied there was a palestine and insisted Palestine was an imperialist/zionist invention

  • @lumpfish99
    @lumpfish99 Před 12 lety

    @boliussa your response doesnt suprise me it sounds typicaly zionistic...if you ever visit london you may wish to go to the house of lords. Its an interesting place, they do free tours. As you enter the main hall there is a painting on the wall. The inscription reads "Richard coeur de leon on his way to liberate jerusalem in the land Palestine" it was painted in 1179...

  • @boliussa
    @boliussa Před 12 lety

    @lumpfish99 Just to be accurate, there were Palestine Jews and Palestine Arabs.. not really palestinians but anyway. And the Arabs didn't call it Palestine, and denied there was such a thing, they knew it was South Syria. and were arab nationalists. not palestine or palestinian nationalists. Just a "technicality" there. The first movement for their aspirations was in 1964 and funnily enough it included both sides of the Jordan river and excluded of all places, the disputed territory!

  • @boliussa
    @boliussa Před 12 lety

    @lumpfish99 For one thing, the Arabs only lost homes when they started a war. And furthermore, after WW1 the Arabs had -nothing-. Britain then awarded them some arab states, then an arab palestinian state from "historic palestine" or mandatory palestine, called Transjordan which then became called the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which was almost called the Hashemite Kingdom of Palestine. Residents of "historic palestine" are palestinians. They didn't call themselves transjordanians..

  • @boliussa
    @boliussa Před 12 lety

    @lumpfish99 but correct I wouldn't agree, and it's nowhere near analogous to what happened

  • @boliussa
    @boliussa Před 12 lety

    @lumpfish99 and your analogy is a thousand miles away from the facts.

    @lumpfish99 Před 12 lety
